I got a 15% credit for my season Rockets league pass subscription You have to ask for it but they are honoring it.
People say the season will start again in July. Other people say the season is over. The reality is my opinion doesn’t matter and no one else’s does either. Everything is dependent on the virus and that is why there isn’t a definite date.
I had to email NBA league pass support, after reading a link that vaguely mentioned cancellation of auto renewal for next season, plus an available 15% refund for those who ask, and that link I cannot even locate anymore, they don’t make it easy.
At this point I wish they would just cancel the season, its been so long and the ROCKETS have no chance of winning the the TITLE, and I sure don't want to see the LA Lakers win, so just call it quits. NEXT YEAR
True, one day you wake up and see it as a negative, another day you think games will definitely get played.
Man...that salary cap is going to be tight next year when you lose $1 billion from cancelling the season. EG is going to need to be traded
Makes sense and honestly the best option going forward. NBA is rushing to **** for no reason, this season is a waste no matter what happens. Move forward to next season.
I can't see how the NBA season can restart again. So, we just go right back into the playoffs after 2-4 month break?
Can’t stand anything this guy posts. Acts like the president of the league, hope the season really cancels now.
Players want to play because they won't get paid if they don't play. 25% paycut when you're making $40 million a year = $10 million The False King stand to lose. Owners, other than Tilman, do not want the season to restart since they would be forced to pay the salaries, without any income from Fans/Concession, etc. It's going to be interesting. Sort of like a Union Stand off back in them days. Unions want to work ,but Owners block them from working. Who is their Jimmy Hoffa? Lebron? CP3? We all know who the NBA enforcer is, Tilman and his Gavelston Made Man mob.
I'm not sure it depends completely on the virus. Fans attending the game does; the league holding games with no fans does, but not to nearly the same degree. But with the testing procedures they have now, I would think they could have some sort of continuous testing for the players, IF they decided to proceed without fans, and IF the players agreed to that (given that the choice would likely be that, or forfeit salary, I suspect the vast majority would agree). So, I think its actually more up to the league and the players, than it is the virus per se.
How much of a player's salary are teams responsible for if they don't continue the season? That might also be a factor. I don't know what the agreement is, but having the season suspended could lead to claims that the player was available, and should be paid.
