4 - 5 more wins for Sacramento. He's close to home, more money probably, and he'll be great at his natural position playing next to Cousins. Those two together would beast. We'll miss you Chuck (if you take the offer)
No you leave !!!!! And take Wack Chuck Hayes with ya! Please let's not bring this guy back. All he is doing is clogging up current minutes from our youngsters.
sam_amick Sam Amick Also on Kings front, sources confirm @WojYahooNBA report that serious mutual interest between them and unrestricted free agent F Chuck Hayes
I always said that Chuck would have been a great person to influence DeMarcus... perhaps the Kings like the idea of a hometown boy with lots of leadership ability? I want him to stay in Houston... but I still think it's more likely he leaves
Good for the Chuck and the Kings. Chuck+Cousins would be an awesome passing and defensive combination. Evan's won't even have to play PG anymore!
Maybe he won't retire as a Rocket, but since no one has done what he has @ his height (at the center position), and with his unique jersey number, I say retire his jersey here....after he retires
Chuck need to die a Rocket and have his body preserved Mao style and displayed in a mausoleum within the Toyota Center next to the bodies of Yao and Hakeem. This will bring a touch of class to the arena. Chuck is the human embodiment of Rockets spirit.
Chuck wagon headed home Do you think he'll go to the kings? http://m.espn.go.com/nba/rumors "From Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports: "The Sacramento Kings have emerged as a frontrunner to sign Rockets free-agent forward Chuck Hayes, league sources said. Sacramento had wanted to sign Hayes to a lucrative one-year deal to keep cap space for the summer of 2012, but could come back with the kind of multiyear offer now needed to acquire him. For Hayes, a native of nearby Modesto in Northern California, it would be a unique chance to return home." If the Kings end up signing Hayes, it's possible center Samuel Dalembert would then not return to the team. Additionally, if the Rockets lose out on re-signing Hayes, the team will most likely need to sign a center -- especially with Yao Ming's retirement. -- Ryan Corazza"
For those of you saying get rid of Chuck because of this or that, there is a reason why so many teams want him. Think about it.
If we get Nene, I would look to move Scola for an upgrade at the SF. Roll with this front court. Hayes/Patterson Nene/Thabeet
Why not? Denver needs to spend a lot of money to get to the minimum salary number. If Nene agrees to terms with the Rockets, why wouldn't the Nuggets take back, say Thabeet and Hill in a S&t? The Rockets very well might only end up with one, but I sure wouldn't rule out them getting both. Also, while it may be the right thing to do, losing out on Nene AND Chuck would really suck.
To make a competitive bid for Nene, Thabeet will have to amnestied and Hayes let go. I suppose SnT is an option, where we can ultimately keep Hayes, but I am not sure that is likely.
