So according to the paper, those teams mentioned are neither winning nor contending. Chuck is a winner and he wants to be here.
Hayes also rejected a 1Y5M offer from New York. http://forums.realgm.com/boards/view...f=24&t=1139569
How much do you think Morey's magic number is regarding Hayes' contract? I think he'll end up getting a 20mil/5yr contract from the Rox. I would be ok with that.

For Hayes, a native of nearby Modesto in Northern California, it would be a unique chance to return home.
I don't think he's played on a big or even medium sized contract in his career. Let the man have his pay day... he's earned it!
We're talking millions of dollars here. The agents are almost always able to convince the players to take the money as agents are insanely good talkers. Agents make more money the more their players make.
Imagine that, going somewhere you are valued most. Money is more tangible than banners, sorry. Banners don't feed your family.
I love Chuck and would love to bring him back, but I'd have no problem, whatsoever, with him going where the money is. He deserves to get paid.
Sacramento gives him the option to make a lot of money, NOT be locked into a long term agreement with a bad team, and most likely have the ability to start next to Demarcus Cousins. You do have a ton of talent on that team. A few vets in the lineup could give them much more stability and focus. You have to realize that Chuck hasn't necessarily broke the bank over here in Houston, so signing a deal that could set him up for life wouldnt necessarily be the end of the world. As a fan of Chuck and the Rockets, if the price is right, I would be happy for Chuck. The man deserves to get paid.
I really hope the rockets keep that China connection even without Yao. If Les wants a new cash cow go for Yi, he's probably available!
