This isn't real shocking given Chuck's general attitude to the game. And I really think it's a lot more than the lip service Dwight and CP have been doing to their cities. I think, basically, Chuck is 100% sure to be back if the Rox match or almost match his best offer. Whether they want to is another thing, but if it's me I would.
Celtics have shown interest they just can't offer him a lot. With that said, Chuck should sign with Minnesota, they have Rick Adelman and he could go back to playing his natural position at the 4 spot behind Kevin Love. Plus their able to give him more money then what we would be willing to offer him.
... What? I can understand (barely) people who are afraid of overpaying Hayes. But outright wanting him to leave? Did I wake up in an opposite world?
Yall treating Chuckwagon like Moochie Norris.... Just wanna keep him on the team for mascot-like reasons.... Fan favorite bs.. Anyone on the roster can go, if Im Morey...
Most contenders (over the cap, many already in the tax) realize that they have to be more careful with their money going forward. I'm sure they like Hayes, as well as some other guys (Battier, etc)...but they can't just throw money around, most of them only have one bullet in their financial gun.
This comin from someone who's name is SuperMarioBros??..... GTFOH...LOL...best joke Ive heard in awhile..Thanks lil man..LMAO
You guys want everyone who has any value to retire here.....sorry but the guy has got to go if he's going to bring back value. Hayes is a defensive specialist, we have no chance on making the playoffs, whats the point in keeping him?
If Houston didn't want to brink back Hayes, we could have just traded him at the deadline like we did with Battier. Clearly Morey wants him back. Morey never lets a player walk away without getting value back from him.
Chuck is much better served on a contender, which the Rockets are not. I'd much rather let him go, so the Rockets can rebuild. Keeping him around just keeps the Rockets medicore.
