Some members of the rookie class participated in a Q+A session on reddit today (unfortunately not Johnson and Capela). Of interest to us are these anecdotes: PJ Hairston, Charlotte SG/SF, identified Harden as his favorite player, the player he's most looking forward to playing against and the player who his game most resembles. James Young, Celtics SG/SF, identified Harden as the player he's most looking forward to play against because "he's a great scorer." Bonus: Joel Embiid identified Dream as his favorite player growing up and would want a Harden beard if given three wishes. ---------------- Overall it probably means little, but it sheds a bit of light on Harden's perception around the NBA. Also, who doesn't love a positive Harden thread?
Exactly what I was thinking! Harden is now the player you score your career high on! In respect to Harden though. He is a great scorer, maybe these rookies want to see if they can shut him down.
Growing up, I really look up to Harden and paulwtfk. One day when I'm 17 I'm going to be a great college player with my Eurostep and quick release and be a top lottery prospect.
I don't think he will this coming season. Harden will be on his D quest to shut all the critiques. It will fun to watch Harden this season on the D side of the court.
I want to believe you guys.. But they say past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour I'll believe it when i see it
If that's the case, I'm pumped. Harden has improved every year he's been in the NBA. Last year Harden said he wanted to add a mid-range game and he did. Making him one of the best clutch players (on offense) in the NBA. If he's making a concerted effort to improve his D this year, then I think he can improve here.
...but Harden has to first learn to respect himself. whatever that means. just kinda felt right with the thread title.
