Dirk does not make an impact on defense to be the best player in the league.

I know many people hate Lebron but he is still the best player in the game today even after what he did in the finals.

For people saying he is not then I want to know who is

And please stop saying Dirk just because he got a ring he is in no way a better overall player than Lebron.

Then why is LeBron still the ringless Queen?

Why does a ring have anything to do with being the best player in basketball?

I can admit he is ringless because he did not step up in the finals but even with that he is still the best player in the game.

Please name a player that is better.

Right. We are not talking about his career, we are talking about who is the best right now. How hard is that for people to understand?

Okay, even if we are talking about right now, LeBron still isn't the best player in the NBA.

I'd put Dwayne Wade or Dwight Howard over him.

Lebron can do everything Wade can but better and if Howard can get a post game I'll give you that one.

Howards post game has improved. I'll give him that.

He has no idea what to do when hes swarmed though. SO MANY TURNOVERS.

Also Wade has a more superior mental fortitude, IMO.

Cant understand the Wade argument. It was pretty obvious that LeBron lead the Heat all season and into the finals.

He definately choked in the finals but c'mon, the guy beat Wade in almost every category during the season and in the playoffs

You mean the Kobe who got swept by the Mavs despite having the best frontcourt in basketball?

    Kobe > Lebron career

If you watched Miami vs LA, the games, Wade destroyed Kobe down the stretch and Lebron is better than Wade.

Even if I need a bucket, I wouldn't pick Kobe number 1. I would probably take Carmelo.

I sure did. Both of them had their share of bad plays, but who had ball in his hands for most of time? And then go watch some pre-Lebron Heat games where ball went through Wade in the clutch..

Lebron is only 26 years old....of course guys in their 30's would have had better careers....

What will Lebron's career look like in his 30's? sort of depends on how the seats move, but if say Paul and Howard team up, he might not win many titles, and he certainly didn't have the luxury of a 27 year old Shaq with every other great center retired or in their twilight.
