Oh! please, no one ban anthony from all star games. The all stars reserves were selected by all the coaches in the league not by nba or stern or stu jackson!

Like i said in the other threads, apparently most coaches think anthony is not good enough! His play last few games, except yesterday against suns, were just horrible!

Of course the selections are made by coaches, that doesn't change the fact that the reason he was snubbed were his action during that game vs Knicks.

And the same should apply to Robinson.

If James White set up a portable hoop in the parking lot outside the arena, more people would watch that than the contest inside.

awesome. even if someone felt that way, i can't believe they would just come out and say it. what a piece of crap.

as far as melo and nate rob, anyone who doesn't think the leading scorer in the league, a guy averaging 31/6/4 on 48% shooting and 80% from the line, isn't an all-star, even with 15 games missed is crazy. he clearly didn't make it b/c of the fight. if the nba is willing to invite robinson to the dunk contest when he caused the whole fight, i would think they would make melo a replacement for yao or boozer. or they just hate melo.

If Nate Robinson didnt win last year, he wouldnt be in it this year. He has to defend his title.

It really pisses me off that nate is in it again this year. he totally sucked last year and did not deserve to win. He is a punk and doesnt deserve to defend his so called "title." I would rather see a legit contender in there like Andre Igudala again or Rudy Gay.

I am with HDTV lover on this.

Dunk contest should be thrown away. No more "new" dunks anywhere. Just people getting excited about someone throwing the ball through the rim using silly acrobatics. It's still 2 points even if you lay it up. :(

I guess youngsters love this "excitement."

They try to disguise "same dunks" by naming them for their creator and attempting it... Michael Quitter was the first one with the original "from the free-throw line" from Dr. J.

Well, looks like Tyrus Thomas might not get to participate in the dunk contest. He just hurt himself (a sprain ankle I believe)...ON A FASTBREAK DUNK!

Nevermind, that foo was faking it. He's walking around the bench like nothing even happened. That would've been hilarious if he did that in the dunk contest.
