Welcome to the Internet. Where people make fun of people's differences and their physical appearance.
the nba has an awesome ad campaign, at least this year. the "where ___ happens" ads have been great, as are these latest playoff spots. the nba is most certainly marketing its product, which includes, more than any other professional team sport, star power of individual players. the playoff spots highlight these individuals and the emotion and commitment to winning they all have. very inspiring. i dont think they need to show actual basketball clips because everyone knows what the nba is. they're focusing on showing the passion and drama underlying what goes on on the court, humanizing what often seems beyond belief given the freakish athleticism of the players. the only football commercial (merriman/jackson set to last of the mohicans) i really loved this year wasn't even put out by the nfl, it was nike.
Are they implying that the Rockets will make to the NBA Finals vs. the Pistons? And how come Tmac has to be paired with Rip? He's nowhere near the level of Tmac, Kobe, Lebron, etc.
yeah, tmac really should've been paired with kobe but i understand they want to exploit the 'shaq/kobe' soap opera angle. at least they could've paired tmac with manu, who is a true baller. though for drama maybe they should've paired mac with grant hill and they could both talk about injuries, comebacks, and leaving orlando to chase a title.
That is cool how they sync the eye blinks for both players in all the videos. I think Garnett was the only one I notice blink when LeBron didn't.
I thought it was only playoff teams that will be featured in these commercials? It won't build up anticipation for the playoffs if you see spots with Durant and Marion talking about how they want to win it all, when it's impossible already for them to do so.
Anyone seen the T-Mac commercial anywhere yet? I also noticed that on the TNT "40 Games in 40 Nights" promo... no Rockets.
i noticed that too, there in the new one for a brief second and it just shows tim duncan dunking when they were playing against us, TNT will never have respect for houston
