in my proposal, teams would play in the same divisions and have the same rivals and before, but playoff seeding would be determined by record only, not division winners, not east v west; etc this would arguably create new rivalries between east/west teams that previously didn't exist and would help strengthen the field of teams in the playoffs significantly. this alone would generate more $ for the league, due to the better matchups in the first few rounds.
the NFL is ridiculously boring. Unless of course you love watching 3 hours of ads. It's more entertaining to watch the 30 min rewind on NFL network.
If you support one team in NFL like you support rockets, then you wouldn't be boring. Every game is important and more title contenders. But I agree commercials suck.
LOL at people thinking egg ball (NFL) is any good. Absolute worst sport out there on par with stick ball or baseball. Such long games played by fat junkies with very little skill or athleticism required not to mention roided up deplorable individuals like Rice et al 1. Real football (Soccer) / Basketball 2. Basketball / Soccer
If these are the problems, the fixes are obvious. 1. Abolish conferences. 2. Reduce the first round back to a 5-game series. 3. Reduce the number of playoff participants from 16 to 8. But, I don't think we can agree on the problems.
