NBA player leaves for 2 yr deal in Italy

    man I remember when Dickau put Gonzaga bball on the map for good a few years back when they made that run in the tourney...ya i know they had stockton before but they were never a big time program till after the dickau days

    why is everyone all e-angry at the OP? did I miss some internet drama? the dude reported another NBA player leaving for Europe...

    what's the big deal? I think every player that leaves for Europe is a pretty big deal. especially if they are American, a la Jennings, Childress, or Dickua

    Dickau left for Europe because he couldn't get an NBA contract for even the minimum.

    Accrodingly he's currently an NBA player, is he? He's a former NBA player.

    I get it, too. Dickau was a scrub. i got it. but he played in the NBA last season, where he averaged over 5 points for the Clippers, over 15 minutes per game, no less.

    childress has the same clause that would allow him to return to the NBA if he desires.

    I just don't get why everyone is mad at the thread title and OP...

    no biggie.

    He's not actually getting paid all that much. If his salary is "comparable" to what the Clippers paid for him it sounds like he left because he had no where else to go
