Very good segment. Barry is doing a great job with NBA TV. Better than the shows on TNT and ESPN.

I think Brent did a great job talking about T-Mac.

Mac needs to shut up and practice. Let everything else fall into play.

i do agree tmac needs to shut up about this. his mouth has always gotten him in trouble. if he thinks he's still great, the team will play him even if they don't want to.

Man Brent Barry couldn't have put it any better, egoless team, and t-mac shut up and prove that you need to be played. Great Post....

Brent Barry shedding some great light on the situation.

Finally somebody speaks the truth. Tracy, just shut up and show everybody WHY you should be on the court.

I think it would help T-mac a lot if he said,

"At this point, I'm just going to practice as hard as I can and try to prove with my actions that I belong on the court"

He might say that already. But no media reported it Because they were more interested in other words that he said. ;)

    Best analysis of the situation.
Doesn't blow anything out of proportion, and speaks to the issue which is relatively minor.

I don't think everything that Tmac said or did is correct. But I do think one thing should be encouraged. He is not afaid of coming back to the court!

As Brent Barry mentioned, if he comes back and hurts the rockets' record, his value would be down. Maybe like AI's ending. Most players in his situation would be very conservative. I see his eagerness to come back as a positive sign.

I start to think that Tmac wants to come back to play may simply because he loves the basketball and just wants to play it again. Tmac is an idealist. Media and fans are making it a bigger deal than it should be.

this was a great interview. i love how brent barry expressed how the rockets are. a selfless and egoless team, thats what makes us as good as we are. and Mcgrady does need to realize that his surgery was serious and he needs to work his way back and stop expecting to come back so soon. i think hes doing all this stuff cuz this is his contract year. but for the sake of his career he needs to just calm down. That being said, if he does comeback, he needs to drop his ego and be selfless like the rest of the rockets.

Brent is a 100% right and said exactly what I have been thinking since McGrady started having this injury issues. Just get back on the court and show us instead of talking about it it.

He's confident - that's GREAT. But really, shwo what you have in practices. There have been 2 full practices in which he has taken the part. Just show you are back and hopefully they will use you.

Now, let's hope that when he is really ready the Rockets WILL use him.

Brent Barry is smart as hell and I agree 100% with him, Jon Barry is pretty smart too though. :) McGrady does need to shut up though, He acts as if he's still the going to be the same player and acts that he is the same player.

I really don't think Tmac realizes how serious that Micro-fracture knee injury is and like that other guy said...Only Amare Stoudemire actually returned to his normal form after that surgery. Everybody else declined, including Antonio McDyess who pretty much was an Amare Stoudemire with better rebounding ability.

Tmac's mouth is another reason why people hate on him, He never backs up his talk and I don't think he ever has.
