Atleast Rose and Beasley will stay in the East. As Rocket fans, that's all you can ask for.

Stay AWAY from Hinrich. Especially with his salary.

Things aren't too bad for New York if Bayless falls to #5.

    Questions I have:

Who does Chicago take with the #1?
They have young guys everywhere really... maybe they do move Hinrich and take Rose, but if Tyrus Thomas and Andres Nocioni are more threes than fours and Joakim Noah more five (in today's crazy NBA) than four, perhaps Gooden becomes expendable and they take Beasley.

Who does Minnesota take with the #3?
That's the big question. They really could have used Rose, but do they take Bayless when they have Randy Foye? Does OJ Mayo go here, or do they go for a big guy like Brook Lopez?

If Chicago wants Beasley and Miami wants Rose, then they trade the #1 to Miami for Miami's #2 and a future first rounder. Miami needs Rose and Chicago gets Beasley a little cheaper plus a bonus pick.

    hinrich (rose) thabo curry
    gordon hughes
    deng nocioni
    gooden (beasley) thomas simmons
    noah gray

if the bulls opt for beasley maybe a david lee for tyrus thomas deal could be on the cards. thomas would be their third SF/PF while lee is able to play some minutes at C.

I think Minnesota would take DeAndre Jordan over Lopez. Jordan is more athletic and has much more upside. Pair him with Jefferson and that is a strong, athletic, young front court.

I live in Chicago, I'm not really a bulls fan, but they got super lucky to get the top pick. After having a really disappointing season, it may have been worth it not making the playoffs this year.

What I don't really understand is...when Charlotte got their pick, how did the ESPN commentator know that the bulls would get a top 3 pick for sure?

I need to think about it. IMO, Hinrich has topped out and isn't good enough going forward. Then again, a new coach might bring out the best in him. But Rose would add so much that Hinrich doesn't. On the other hand, the Bulls need and interior & versatile scorer like Beasley and they could dump Gooden. I'll chime in after they hire a coach.

Couldn't care less about Minny. I'll just say that as an NBA prospect, Brook Lopez doesn't excite me as much as most people. I don't see him matching up well with Jefferson because they would get in each other's way.

Don't go for Hinrich. He can't create for others or for himself. Shot selection is also questionable. The bulls loved him for his defense and even that's fallen off. The guy is a souped up Delonte West for five times the salary.

The Bulls took Elton Brand over Steve Francis who went #2. It would be interesting if they do the same, or will they pick the dynamic guard over the slightly undersized big man.

If they weren't in the top 3, the Bulls would have been the next team in line mentioned after Charlotte because of their regular season record. When they were skipped, that meant they were in the top 3.

I think he's more the a souped up Delonte West, but he is definitely way overpaid.

Not saying I wouldn't take him if paired with one or two of the other young Bulls players, though.

#1 - tough question. None of their big men have really panned out and become stars. I think they'd be very tempted to try their luck on one more. I also think guys like Tyrus Thomas would be easier to move than Hinrich. His deal is smaller and there are probably some teams who still think he has the potential to be a star. But in todays NBA, the guard positions are more valuable than ever and Derrick Rose just might be the guy who can make all of those horses run. It doesn't hurt Rose is a Chicago native either. I just think it's a toss up, but personally I'd go with Rose.

#2 - Not nearly as tough a question. Minnesota will do whatever the worst possible move is. They always do. Seriously, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if they drafted somebody slated for the second round with the 3rd pick.

    Haha, good stuff.

Individual workouts may play a large role, but at this point in time, I don't see how the Bulls (or anyone for that matter) doesn't take Rose? If the players are more or less equal, or even if Rose is the slight underdog, with the importance of good PG play today, Rose with the potential to be a HOF type PG...no brainer t me.

Brook Lopez seems the most likely #3 pick at this point, if he's a true 7'0...though skill wise I think that's way too high. Bayless or OJ would seem to fit in Seattle. Mayo's the better all around player and might fit better with Durant (who seems to be a volume shooter) than Bayless (who also may have the potential to be more of a shooter at PG than a distributor).

The Bulls had a 1.9% chance of winning the lottery.

This is why tanking is not good.

Oh, and Kirk Hinrich can start packing his bags because he's out of Chicago.

IMO, that is a HUGE reach. Love is good, but not 5th pick worthy.

Wow.. If Beasley isn't a douche bag and if they believe he can rebound great in the NBA they should take him, could be the Dirk of the East.
