Definitely will be Randolph ... but will someone take that max contract off their hands? Not sure what his trade value is, but given his attitude, problems and contract, I'd say he has negative value. Maybe wrong.

Blazers would be wise to dump Randolph and Miles contracts for anything they can get in return (or not get in return).

Just thinking off the cuff ...

but maybe , if the Celts or Memphis is truly desperate for that franchise guy they just missed out on, maybe they would be willing to give up quite a bit of depth to land TMac. We even have a trading history with Memphis.

eh, maybe not, but I know they definitely wouldn't be interested if they had landed those top 2 picks.

u think now since seattle has durant, and lewis is a similar type of player, would rashard now is more committed to leaving since he'll have less shots and touches.

too bad we can't get him though.

and randolph will be traded. dude is a ballhog.

I agree, that's why I think it may end up being Aldridge, though who knows, they may exchange Randolph for a high paid negative value guard (Francis?) just to open up a spot for Aldridge

Wondering out loud, Boston must be absolutely desperate right now and willing to make an absolute gorilla offer to trade up to the top two.

I wonder what it would take for them to make it worthwhile - say Rondo, Jefferson, this year's first, and a future first, in exchange for 1-2 pick and the bad contracts of your choice?

Would anybody do it if you were Portland or Seattle?

Dude, in a draft like this, ANYONE getting the number two pick sure as hell isn't "losing big time."

I, too, am curious to see how the assumed drafting of Durant will affect the signing of Rashard.

Pacific Northwest just got a massive infusion of talent!!

    Winners:
Portland - Oden will make them a young solid team for years to come.
Seattle - Durant may save Allen's career and the Sonics as a franchise
Atlanta - They could have ended up without a pick if Indy ended up the top 3 and they were 4th or lower.
Chicago - Talk about a trade where you get Tyrus Thomas and maybe Joakim Noah
Phoenix - People don't forget Atlanta still owes them a pick and next year it's an unconditional pick meaning whatever Hawks get the Suns keep it.

    Losers:
Boston - Talk about bad luck Danny Ainge will get fired for sure now.
Milwaukee - Another tankgate gone wrong
New York - That Curry trade looks horrible now
Indiana - They have nothing to show for espcially since they trade Harrington to Warriors and got shanked.

Portland reportedly paid millions to move up the draft last year. It was a direct quote from their GM gushing at the amount their owner had spent.

i think atlanta's still in a tough position, they got #3, but there's no one at #3 that can help improve the team much immediately, so next years pick, which figues to be high again automatically goes to the suns.

Then again they do had the #11 pick too, if seattle picks durant they could deal lewis, but if they really like yi, who knows, maybe trade down with ATL, to get the #11 overall too.

    poor celtics

    Exactly what I thought.

Remember the top 5 players in this draft are PF/C type and Phoenix needs a PG to backup and eventually succeed Nash. Next year they could land OJ Mayo or Derrick Rose and have a plan B for life after Nash. Amare, Diaw and Barbosa are still very young so they could be a playoff team for 10 more years.

Hawks must go for Mike Conley J.R and hope he has a great rookie year and they make the playoffs.

Well I wouldn't think the number 3 pick is that much of a booby prize. It is the deepest draft and despite the overshadowing of Oden & Durant - there are some quality players avaialble - I mean you have a supposed 1 pick last year in Noah who now can't crack the top 5.

not likely. glad to see you have rockets pride.

on another note...when will the oden overhype end? it's like reggie bush over VY. durant effects more aspects of the game.

Other than the obvious Portland and Seattle winners, Mike Conley, Jr. is the other big winner. With Atlanta and Memphis both desperately needing point guards, he won't drop past 4th. Which is way above where he would have been drafted had Atlanta and Memphis gotten the 1st two picks.
