Same here...plus I don't listen to some of those "tech geek" complaints. I don't worry about frame rate and stuff like that. I just get together with my friends and play a damn basketball game. It's just not that serious. And not once have me and my friends discussed the frame-rate of a game
Ya know, I was thinking the same thing, lol. But there is a guy working on slider combinations for Live 2005 and he should be done tonight I will post them here and hopefully they will fix most gameplay issues. I tried his first try the sliders and they defintiely made a difference.
Played the game the whole day yesterday, and loving it so far. Freestyle effectiveness and pro-hop is tone down a bit, making it more of a sim style game. I have to be patient on offense, throwing the ball down to the post, and looking for the open man. And unlike last year, the computer no longer double team anybody in the post. I've seen some double team on Yao, but still having trouble finding the open man. Another thing I seen that I like was how Tmac got doubled up at an ending of a tied game. I was gonna run the clock down, and run a pick and roll but they decided to double. I swung the ball around the key to an open Mo T for a 3 pt play and the game. The ai is way smarter this year than last years game. Only dislike so far is that the defenders catch up way to fast on a fast break. Other than that, its been fun so far..
So far, I'm finding it a little harder to score in Live than in ESPN. But that was just out of a quick test game of each. Anyone else noticing this? Also, from the test game....Kobe plays just like his real life counterpart.
Dude, my copy of Live plays and looks like claymation. Maybe its just on GC or something, but this is far more than just some "geek complaint."
Not sure about the PC version. But on the console versions, when you online, it automatically downloads the newest rosters.
seriously, i got the game and the first minute i played was like playing in slo mo. other than that its been alright
You might have been playing on "Starter" level. On that level the game speed is very slow for people just learning the game. You can either go into the sliders and raise game speed or you can bump up the difficulty level.
Anybody started simulating a season yet? The Nugs and Grizzlies are consistently coming out #1 and 2, with the Nugs are frequently starting the season 30-5 or something ridiculous. The Rockets usually miss the playoffs with a losing record.
For the guy who has the game running really slowly, change the difficulty settings. Rookie setting will make the game run a lot slower than something like Alstar, or superstar.
It's the one with all the lines and numbers under it on the back off the packaging that they scan when you are at the store. Looks like this.
wish I waited for this game.... I want my $20 back to spend on Live. I really don't like 2K5.....damnit. I just don't like the feel....
