Which game is going to be more realistic this year? Live or ESPN?

Live's ratings are skewed. They don't have strong enough position specific ratings. THe higher your rating, the more versatile you are. Look at garnett. 97. He's athletic and can play all 5 positions (or so they say). Then you go down to Duncan who's a 92. Less athletic, but seriously, we all know Duncan is at least on the same level as KG, if not better. Their ratings are also from 0-100 as opposed to ESPN's 50-100. ESPN does do position specific ratings which IMO is way better.

I always change the ratings anyway, I'm pretty sure most people do, right?

    What about Boki?

And besides, these are "overall" ratings. I don't think they really mean all that much when you play the game.

the ratings don't matter...the attributes do.

JJ can be rated 60, but if you set him up for open shots he can average 20 a game, but he won't be great man-to-man.

Yao might be rated lower than Iverson, but Iverson will be easier to block while if you are good in the post, Yao will be much more valuable.

I thought ya'll knew by now that ratings really don't matter in the game...it's how you use their strong attributes and how you try and stay away from their weak spots.

I know what Howard is capable of, but JJ (im not the biggest fan) proved his doubters that he is underrated, and a much more valuable piece to the team than others..

I don't know why you waste your time talking about NBA live when 2K5 is so much more superior....no comparison in the two....=)
