Actually, EA's been on a pretty good streak with PC games. And the old Live series was the best basketball games I'd ever played...hopefully they can return to what it once was. And yes, anyone that knows anything about good games is aware of what Nintendo is capable of. All systems have their upside, but to dismiss the GCN with the 'kiddy' argument is weak. Anyway...I'll try both Live and 2K4. Hopefully one I'll like enough to bother buying. I'm much more looking forward to Madden, though.
i know a couple of those types of people. even though i'm in the same major, i'm not as intense as they are, nor is gaming design my concentration. probably would have helped if i was as intense as they were. those types of people are kind of annoying cause they suck up to the professors too much.
Gamecube sucks, XBOX and PS2 are gonna dominate the market from here on. Guess which two I own Gamecube = the next N64 Live 04 will edge out 2K4 but it will be close.
i always heard battles about what's the best console today, PS2 or XBOX?! i never heard Game Cube to be included in that question. its always ps2 and xbox goin head-to-head. if they compare games, etc... let's face it, nintendo may have some great titles, but GC cannot compete with ps2 and xbox. sorry GC owners... i dont mean to offend yall..
Just beat the game on the hardest level yesterday. It's good, but not great. Many weapons to collect. A bunch of levels, but they are all short. Graphics are okay. Gameplay is realistic. In my opinion, more fun than Ghost Recon, but not as good as Halo. Oh, and I still can't tell which is the hardest setting, b/c the menu is like this: Can I Play Daddy? Don't Hurt Me Bring It On I am Death Incarnate but it's a continous scroll, so it could also look like Bring It On I am Death Incarnate Can I Play Daddy? Don't Hurt Me I believe "I am Death Incarnate" is the hardest setting, but my neighbor believes it's the other way. It also starts off on the "Don't Hurt Me" setting, which is argument for that as the easiest level. And really, the game is not good enough for me to really tell a difference between "Bring It On" and "I am Death..."
okay since this thread turned into a gaming thread, DID ANYONE SEE THAT 25 MINUTE HALF-LIFE 2 VIDEO!!!!!!!!! Gosh, it was the most insane thing i ever saw. The physics, ai graphics, all tie in beautifuly! Freemans back better than ever!!!!!!!!!
OK, I gotta say one more thing as long as this thread is alive. I have always heard GCN included in the console wars, it's just that it's losing. PS2 may be destroying the GCN, but it's doing the same thing to the Xbox, but Xbox has just a small lead over GCN in terms of sales. GCN can certainly COMPARE with Xbox - it has a much higher proportion of good games in it's library, just a little less 3rd party help. A few reasons that the GCN is failing and will end up like the N64. 1. Late release screwed them, PS2 was out almost a full year earlier, people are impatient. 2. Lack of DVD-playback affected a lot of people who don't decide which console they want based on the games they can play on them. (You can buy a better DVD player for the price difference, people) 3. Xbox/Microsoft has some deep-ass pockets and lately has literally payed for their success through crazy marketing, plus they can afford to have pricier hardware. They lose something like $150 per system you buy. They're bleeding money like mad, and it's not giving them so much as a pin prick. From what I've heard, Nintendo knows this, and will hopefully be making some changes come time for their next system... or that's strike 3. If they stop making hardware, I hope Sony buys them up or merges with them immediately so all their franchises will stay alive exclusively on their systems, and crush that god-forsaken black box with a gay green circle on top into oblivion. Don't you see!? Microsoft is brain-washing you all!!! Get rid of Windows and install Linux! If you must buy an Xbox, don't buy any games, just use it as a PC (install Linux)! DO IT! OR THEY WILL TAKE OVER THE PLANET!!! Edit: Oh, and the Xbox and GCN have each sold near idential numbers of consoles: under 10 million units apiece. Wow... I can almost gaurantee no one will read all this, but it was still fun. I have no life.
