you should try nba inside drive. it's better than all those games in my opinion. i also recommend nba street 2. really great game. get to do a ton of ball handling tricks and unreal dunks.
I like Live a lot better than 2K. It's always seemed more entertaining to me, especially with the freestyle control. Oh yeah, Gamepro magazine said that in Live 2004, you can take your college players from March Madness 2003 and have them drafted (by uploading them on your memory card) into the NBA!!!
Wh.....wh...what?!?! I didn't know that! How dare EA sports try to steal that idea and claim it as their own?!?
Well i think the 2k series are a better if you want a real BB game, but if you want a lower version of Street 2 get live. And Justb whats the link for gamespot
Francis is only rated 86, in there!!! What a crime... Ofcourse i edited his atributes and he went to 110...
when i bought live 2003 i was so pissed. it was beyond being called simulation.. its even more "arcade-y" than an arcade game supposed to be. i sold it for 10 bucks and just bought myself a 2k3. can you believe steve francis averaged 10.2 blocks per game on my live 2003??!!! i used to be a live fan. but f*ck it.. ea screwed things up! 2k4 baby!
nah, not at all. what's wrong with nba inside drive? i like it. of course, i like nba street 2 the most. that game is the only game i like. my favorite character on that game is dime.
I went to E3 and played both of the games. They are both only 40- 50% done when I played. But Live is definitely more of a simulation this year. All that crazy stuff from last year's game has been taken out. The game is realistic as well. Last year's game was an arcade game and they want this year to be a sim. They plan on having the Rockets new unis in the game as well. NBA2k4 is now the arcade game. They have the blocks going out of bounds like Live 2003 and every play is now a fast break. Sega wanted to make the game a bit more exciting, and at this point, they have gone too far. But of course there is alot of time for them to fix it. To everyone saying EA is going to charge for online play is really mistaken. EA has NO plans on charging for playing online for the PS2. The earliest they have plans for this is 2005. I got this directly from the EA rep at E3. Sega is not going to charge at this time either. Hopefully that sets some things straight.
How do you edit attributes on that game? Every time I try, it tells me you can't edit this players attributes for every player. Am I missing something?
NBA Live 2004 will OWN NBA2k4 this year. Did you guys hear about the new dynasty mode NBA live will have? "Of all the game modes, none has undergone as much change as the franchise mode. It'll be turned into the dynasty mode and add an almost-RPG element to the game. You'll be able to work out to improve your team. Additionally, certain things will earn you money, which you can use to purchase, say, a private plane for your team. Sure, a jet is expensive, but being able to get to a road game earlier means your team will be better rested and in better shape to play. The Dynasty mode seems like a very cool concept." full preview here http://www.gamespy.com/e32003/preview/pc/1002605/
NBA Baller has a good concept, but has some of the worst graphics I have seen. Reminds me of PS1 graphics.
ALl you gotta do is go to settings-> roster settings-> Find your player-> then go to the right where all the ratings are for each catagory for that player, like stealing, dunking, etc... then just crank them all up, and the overall rating will change aas you change the subcatagories. You cannot just change the main rating.
if it ain't got the new uniforms, I ain't buying it =\ Yao is already on NBA Live 2003 I can just make a version of LeBron.. no biggie =]
There's no way Live was better than 2K3. It's not even close. I have both and Live made some major improvements, but b-ball from Sega is still superior. I'll probably buy both again this year, but Live has been trailing the last two years.
