So I get the current real Bucks roster? The one with Allen, Robinson, Cassell and Mason? Okay then. I ain't trading!
thanks cat and for you guys that think i shouldn't be here, sorry if i have been a problem in the past with inactivity, it wont happen again Dvauthrin, would you trade Jazz for Magic?(if u gimme magic ill give ya something also)
Cat, I saw you said there was no more room. If things change I would love to get in, even in a co-capacity. I just read this thread and the link you put at the top, but I could get filled in if you have space. Thanks HayesStreet
HayesStreet- While youre waiting for a spot to free up in Cat's league, Id like to let you know that Haven is running a superb baseball sim league. There are a few good teams available, including the Yankees, the Dodgers, and the A's. We would love to have you.
btw Cat, Id be willing to let somebody be an assistant GM. But Id have the final say on all trades and lineup changes, etc. Would anybody be willing to be my assistant GM, at least until a spot is available? Im GM of the Grizzlies right now, I have a lot of great young talent. Also, I wouldnt mind taking the TWolves, unless the no draft picks thing is in the sim too.
I would just like to say that I really don't have time for two sims anymore, and I would really like to stay in haven's sim. If I stayed in this sim, it would be as an extremely inactive GM that maybe checked his record every week or so. So if there are people in line to get a team, go ahead and give them my Nuggets, because I don't really want to do this anymore.
Cat, Before I read Raven's last post, I was thinking that with over 3000 members here, that surely there would be enough interest to have another NBA Live 2002 league. WIth mduke, Zac D, me, and Hayes Street being the first 4 to pick their teams in that order. However, if mduke doesn't want the Nuggets, then I would want to take them. I still think, though, that we could get enough interest up to have a second NBA Live 2002 league. I know it's asking a lot of you, but do you think that you could set this up for us? If you think that this is a good idea, maybe someone can start a thread and see how many would commit and be active GMs. The only problem is that I would have no way of knowing of how to run the game, thus I would need you to help us or figure out some way to do this. Thanks.
I have NBA Live 2002 , I could set up a league . As long as I dont get The Warriors . Manny you could be co-commisioner and Help with the drafts etc. sheesh this just like playing house when we were in 2nd grade
chise, im keeping orlando as we discussed on line, ill see what i can do about your other team preferences though
Nomar, Thanks for the reply. I'd definitely be interested. Is there somewhere I can look to see what all the sim entails? I have played a lot of fantasy bball and football (american style ) and one year of fantasy baseball, but have never been part of a sim before. Thanks HayesStreet
heres the link hayes street http://users2.ev1.net/~morningstarmanor/simleague/ccnet/league.htm i need to tell you the league is fast paced and goes on in the chat room every day, haven, the league commish, sims usually 2 weeks per day, maybe more depending on the situation im not trying to scare you, i just want to give you the details so you can succeed and enjoy yourself if you decide to join
Questions: 1. so the season only actually lasts a few weeks? 2. i would be responsible for lineups and trades? drafting is already over? 3. how do lineup changes etc happen? is there a central place that you input info or do you tell the commish in chat? 4. mexico city? richmond? am i missing something? i don't mind fast paced. my baseball knowledge is behind fball and bb but i'll pay attention. would i need to know all the minor leaguers? Thanks,
I will be the Nuggets. If anyone would like to trade, let me know... and cat, do i have a healthy mcdyess?
Raven, That's fine... mduke, You now have the Nuggets, and a healthy McDyess... Manny, I can help you guys get started, but I really don't have time to run two leagues myself... let me know what you need.
1. One season usually takes three to four weeks, and then a week or two for free agency, the draft, etc. We are currently in the year 2005, and I think it can go on almost indefinitely... 2. Yes, you are responsible for lineup changes... this season's draft is over, and the computer automatically picked the highest rated player for you at your spots. The draft happens every year though, so no big deal. 3. Read DBC's Season 5 Lineup thread... that is where you post lineups. However, to resign players (look on the salary pages), you do need to talk to haven in the chat so you can make offers. Any player with contract expiring in the year 2005 is eligible for free agency after the season, and you have until then to try to extend them. 4. Several teams have moved because revenue was so poor where they were. I don't know how familiar you are with baseball, but if you aren't, the revenue in Oakland and Florida is very bad... they have good talent, but not enough money to resign that talent when it developed. So Oakland moved to Mexico City and Florida to Richmond, where they have a reasonable amount of money. BTW, there are several teams left, but your best chance to be competitive is with the Yanks or Mexico City (formerly As). Mexico City (Oakland) has better players right now, but just an average to slightly above average revenue stream. New York doesn't have quite the players right now, but they have a monster revenue stream because of their market size and can go to 120 million and more in payroll. So, if you took them, you'd have to win the way the real Yanks do-- buy your players.
