nba 2k7 for PS2 is exactly the same as 2k6 as far as im concerned.. the "signature shots" is pretty pointless since the graphics arent that hot anyway, it's like Mario having a new way to jump on turtles. No 24/7 mode, same voice overs from last year, they even still have the rockets playing in the summit lol.. bleh if you aren't playing on xbox 360 i would just get a roster update and call it a day. I actually think live will surpass 2k7 this time around (ps2/xbox versions) but 360 versions are a whole other animal and wont be able to comment until ps3 comes out
ahh i just bought i but i havent opened it, and now im hearing that there isnt novak, v-span, lucas and others... im really hesitant. should i just return it and stick with 2K6? with the $30 i spent on it i could go back and exchange it out for 1)knights of the old republic $10 2)ninja gaiden $6 3)far cry instincts $15
gosh, so if the graphics are the same, the rosters arent updated what IS new? why did i just buy it. good thing i havent opened the seal
Hmm, so not much has been updated on 2K7? If that is the case then I will buy Live I guess. I usually get the 2K series (haven't bought Live in years). However last night a friend made a very interesting comment to me. He said when he comes home he can't wait to get on Live, but that isn't the case with 2K. Besides the first few weeks after purchase, I can't think of too many times I came home crunk to play it. Does anyone know if Live has a limit on the number of players you can create? 2K had a limit of like 10, which really pissed me off since TONS of old stars weren't on the game (Jordan, Dream, Ewing, Barkley, etc). Also, can you move players from great/all decade teams onto your team?
Hell yes I am pumped. Most importantly we got T-Mac pimpin the cover. I would get it cause of that even if it sucked.
Damn....when was the cut off date for 2k7? My bud got it and we tried it today during lunch, and that crap still had Wesley...didn't have our rookies. That actually looks like the Compaq center AKA LakeWood Church more than the Toyota Center. Looks and feels and even sounds just like 2k6. I'm not impressed. I might just stick with my older game or get the new live. Not sure.
It doesn't deserve all the bashing it gets. The 2k series has it's flaws as well, even though it's supposedly more realistic you can still score 140+ and dunk everytime down the court just like Live.
is there any way i could get a roster update if i am playing live 07 for the PS2 (without the internet connection for the PS2)? or is there a way i could change it in the game?
I believe you can take your memory cardto walmart and they will update it there for you. (for the new game)
walmart only or other retailers have the same service also? (cuz i have to drive for 2 hours to get to a walmart) does that mean i have to buy the game from the same retailer in order to get the service?
Check this new commercial with T-Mac for Live 07. Very inspirational, it's against the Mavericks too! <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NYvwCYfHoRY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NYvwCYfHoRY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Man, I know it's just one review, but it gets hammered here: http://blogcritics.org/archives/2006/09/30/053827.php
If ya need roster updates a few good sites: www.psxsports.com www.rostermania.com www.maddennation.com (its a madden game site but have Live roster updates)
I usually don't play Live anymore, but that's only because of play style. And 06 seemed to be going in the right direction (for 360). But I started wondering when the game wasn't getting reviewed early in the week. That's usually a bad sign. Turns out I was right. It is getting hammered in all the reviews now. From what they are saying, Live actually took a step backward this year. Though they do say the ESPN integration is cool.
