The Roster updates are about to be released...if they aren't already. http://www.nba-live.com/download/pafiledb.php They make upgrades all the time on this site through out the year for the game. Edit: that is for the PC version.... The other updates for the consoles are available too IIRC.
Wow. I'm glad I don't play online. I just played a few games last night and I'm shooting around 35% from behind the arc and my opponents are around 40%. It seems like every game has tons of problems online.
Yeah the game is great if youre playing against the computer. I just played 2 games online and was 12/13 3 pointers with mike james the first game and 9/10 the second. It is just dumb. The guy had Tim duncan in front of me and I would drain it still. You can be up by 15 with a minute left and actually have to worry about them coming back.
i got the game last tuesday for xbox... it's one awesome game... they made big improvements... and is way better than nba live 2005... looks and plays better... i like the freestyle superstars mode... the only thing bad about it is that the rosters are not updated... we dont have d anderson... finley's still with dallas... i had to update it myself since xbox live didnt have the roster updates yet... and one more thing... i simulated the whole month of november... and looked at the rockets statistics... yao averaged nearly 30 pts and 12 boards... man... i guess we're gonna win it all this year... and oh... i was wondering if the nba 2k6 was any good? any of guys played it?
OK, they need to adjust the offensive rebound numbers though. Wow. I have hte computer's offensive rebound slider at 1. I have my defensive rebound slider at 100. The Lakers (the Lakers?!?) still grabbed almost as many offensive boards as the Nugs grabbed defensive ones in a game. Other than that, I'm enjoying it.
Well, every game has a cut off date. If you don't want to wait for the roster update just update it yourself. Here is the list of transactions made this summer. http://www.nba.com/transactions/current_month_transactions.html
thanks... one more thing about nba live is that the pacers jerseys are still old... and they revealed the new ones today... i read somewhere that the 2k6 version has the new pacers jersey...
With changing the sliders you can make some things easier or harder in the game. for example. when you put the slider of three pointers high, you will make more three pointers, and if you put that slider low, you will miss more three pointers. This way you can make the game more realistic(or harder)
They can be unlocked with a code. I don't know what the code is but they usually announce them by the start of the season.
Has anyone seen the new Live 06 commercial starring mcgrady and wade?? I think they were supposed to be robots or something. I coudlnt exactly understand what was going on in the commercial bc it was on mute in a bar. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and has the clip of it please post...thanks
okay, got the game for the PC. how do you back the defender down, like in the previous versions? is it possible?
Purchased Live 06 based upon my belief that Live 05 was the best basketball game last year. Traditionally, I have been a 2k fan but 2k5 ending up being such a dissappointment. I figured that EA would build on the momentum they established with Live 05. Boy was I wrong. The gameplay has seriously regressed. Player movement can be summed up in one word: skating. Franchise mode features are weak at best. Camera angles are horrible. Nothing like Madden 06. Thinking that it couldn't be worse, I traded it in for 2k6. 2k6 has blown me away in every respect. Player movement is silky smooth and the game has unmatched graphics. There is NO skating what so ever. Franchise mode is filled with features more resembling Madden. If you want a baskeball game geared towards simulation, 2k6 is the only choice.
