36 ain’t that old. I think the difference is Jake Paul has other “celebrity” fights before and likely trained more seriously for longer than Nate did.
lol. What a clown show. From https://www.sportingnews.com/us/box...results-highlights/15uqcjl6nis0w10z96fm26l6n1
They aren't technically punches when the other guy is willingly running full speed into your gloves with his guard down.
For age, I'm referring more to boxing prime, which is usually around mid 20's to early 30s. After mid/late 30's, even the pros, who are still successful (Maywhether / Pac) rely more on skills than declining athleticism. Both amateurs, Paul had advantage in both youth and experience. I'm not a Nate fan, but his ties to NBA and generally like-able dude, he got beat by a Youtuber, hate to see it.
Jake Paul hasn't had a "real" fight yet. But he actually trains and is trying to give boxing a legit shot. Nate had no freaking clue what he was doing. What little experience Paul has dwarfs the training that Nate did. Nate had no shot.
And even if the training was equal, Nate still wouldn't have had more than a "puncher's chance" given his size disadvantages.
Interesting, I looked into it and apparently most people seem to think he's somewhere around 5'10 or 5'11. So not as big a difference in height as billed, but he's still got the weight and reach advantages to go with the extra few years of boxing training and still being in his physical prime. I've always found it weird when people lie about their height.
Disappointed I just found out this wasn't the guy that filmed the bodies in the suicide forest. Always thought it was. I think I thought of them both as the same person, and just thought the brother was a name that wasn't actually famous.
I still blame this entirely on Nate, why the hell did he get in the ring in the 1st place, he should be to old and wise to sign up for this foolishness. What the hell dude? I have no idea what he thought the upside of this was.
Guaranteed $500k from PPV money is pretty good incentive. https://www.sportekz.com/boxing/jake-paul-vs-nate-robinson-purse-payouts/ Robinson also seems like the type to like the limelight anyway he can get it.
I think you hold your elbow out like in the old Double Dragon game and the other guy just keeps running into it.
