I am not a lawyer, so I won't comment on the legality of the site, but from what I understand the same streaming service has been provided for the NHL for several years without a hitch.
Every year of its existence I've had to email NBA.com about activating my League Pass online, which is kind of unfortunate because I've been a LP subscriber since 2000-01. Thankfully they do eventually get back, but every year they have to manually sign off on it.
Anybody willing to pm me they login/password this year? My homeboy Big Steve juzt got outta TDC and im supportin his azz til his Moms get out so I aint got no funds right now
Ok, I'm curious. If a game is blacked out in your area does it become available later on for replay after the game is over? I have LP, and live in an area where Utah games are blacked out so I'm hoping to watch tonights game later on a replay.
You can use http://www.hotspotshield.com/trial/ to VPN somewhere else and watch blacked out games. I have been using the free trial to watch Rockets games this past week, and it works fine. One thing to beware of is that this application changes your internet settings to use a proxy instead of auto-detect, so if you turn it off or remove it, you will need to change that setting to get your browser to work again.
damn loving the option to pick home or away feeds of games...... mostly love listening to the rox homers, but after 2 games am completely over the use of H&H...... so grating, like finger nails on a black board
For those of you who have it ya'll have no issues watching the Rockets games correct? I got comcast simply to watch the Rockets but now that I found league pass I'm thinking about getting rid of it all together and just keeping my internet and watch the games on my ps4. Only thing is on nba.com's website is asked me to enter my zip and it says the Rockets are blocked out?
Rockets are blacked out through league pass unless you use a VPN. A VPN can easily be set-up on a computer. If you're not even a bit tech savvy, I won't even begin to explain how to get it done on a device such as a PS4.
Is anyone having any serious buyer's remorse with NBA League Pass? Whether it's on PC or with the Android App, I continually run into problems watching games. This is my 5th season in a row that I've paid for these services, and it seems like they keep jacking up the price without really adding much to the services itself. At the end of last season, they sent me a very long questionnaire which I filled out with the hopes that the services will improve and I can get the most out of NBA League Pass. What happens next? They come out with League Pass Premium to suck even more money out of my wallet. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful thing when it's working properly, but how often I've let my NBA viewing experience end up in a frustrating mess because their system is so unreliable. Keep in mind, I live in Japan so I don't have to deal with the blackout mess, but I would seriously consider an alternative if this keeps up. Since I live abroad, I end up watching the archived games hours later. If that's the case, I could easily download the torrent from this site and watch it in a more reliable fashion. Am I the only one getting a headache with NBA League Pass this season?
I have got it for free he last 3 years with jailbreaking my iPad but this year I just paid for it and I have loved it. The feature of home/away commentary is amazing and the fact all the games are archived so quick makes it easy To watch games when I get home
So you went ahead and paid for League Pass premium? I paid for the regular one (still a hefty price to pay) that doesn't come with the option to choose Home/Away. A difference of $190 and $240. Now imagine that you can't always access the archived files and the mobile app is next to junk and that's about where I'm at right now. I know $190 isn't a lot in over an entire season, but if I wanted to watch archived Rockets game, I could find them all right here. Basically, what I'm paying for is the convenience and reliability, both of which have been subpar. Adding to it is that I only use League Pass for the Rockets. With International League Pass, we don't have the option of choosing 1 team or 5 teams or whatever (not sure if this is the same for non-international). But if I'm the only one experience these troubles, then perhaps it's a problem on my end. I'll look into it a bit more. Thanks for the input!
Well I bought mine with a 15% discount due to a sale they were having so it cost me I think 220ish (international price) AUD. Money isn't a worry for me when it comes to watching basketball I think I would pay ridiculous amounts to watch the rockets. so my 220 dollars spent ends up costing (let's assume the rockets play 90 games for the year including playoffs) then it would cost $2.44 per game. Also include I watch atleast 1 extra game a day and watch the nba tv shows every other day, so an extra 90 games of other teams games would get me 180 games at 1.22 per game. Not bad when you brake it down
I don't have any issues and I use a VPN called Private Internet Access. I use it for other reason too so the cost is no big deal to me but I think if you do a multiple month deal you can get it for 3 or 4 $dollars a month and you don't have to be tech savy (a one button app to turn it on and you can select what region in the world or the US you want to connect to). League Pass does not show national broadcasted games and the Rockets are pretty popular these days. Also, there are plenty of free VPN options put I don't have time for that. It needs to just work from me and be consistent.
There's the occasional lag for me, but it really has been overall very good. It's been well worth the purchase for me over the last few years. Ill probably be using it until I move back to Houston.
I have Broadband and love the home/away option and having rebroadcasts of the blacked out games available is a major upgrade. I don't know about select HD games in cable or the International package
I have also bought the International League Pass (Standard version, not premium) and it works really good for me. Sometimes, an archieved game wouldn't start playing, but that happens very rarely and is always corrected a few hours later. Maybe your problems occur because the games are edited (game breaks cut out) a few hours after they are finished, maybe that's the exact time when you want to watch them due to the time differential? I can't say anything about the mobile app though, as I don't use it.
