That's assuming that you mange to record all 1101 games and watch every single one of them, meaning you would need to have about 9 TVs all recording at once. Of course, if you can afford 9 TVs, then you can obviously afford League Pass. ;)

I've purchased the NBA Audio Pass the last two years, and I've been very happy with it. It's getting more expensive now ($10/month last year), but I listened to probably 20 games a month. I enjoyed it.

As a Rockets fan in New England, it was my lifeline to Rockets action.

I live in Brenham (about 90 miles E of Hou) and have Direct TV. Last year most of the Rocket games were covered by local stations or Standard Direct TV Satellite channels. I have the local station option (2-99) so I got all but 1 or 2. Will the same be true this year or should I get season pass to get the rockets ?

Thanks for clearing this up for me.

in the Greater Houston area, all the games have been on either over-the-air stations or cable.
last year was KNWS and the ESPN/TNT combo
the year before was UPN and FSSW IIRC..
I havent missed a regular season game in ages because they are always on TV around here.

Almost bought audio pass last year...but $10 /month scared me off -- almost as much as League Pass if you get the whole season. MLB and Hockey are free!

Can you record/download the games or do you have to be hooked up?

Thanks for being a "fellow fan filled with fury".
(I would wink, but we're serious!)

According to DaDakota, NBATV is $2.00 a month during the season. I still think it's a rip-off, but (I can't believe I'm saying this!) I'll probably pony up again this season and pay the g-d'ed 2 bucks. You just KNOW that several of the best Rockets games will be on NBA TV.

I guess it's all or nothing. And if I don't see all the games, as per usual, I won't be able to satisfy my Rocket Lust and play havoc on the GARM. ;)

Is the November 4th deadline for the "early bird" discount correct? Hell, I need to just check with Time/Warner. I hope they finally let me pay it all in a lump sum. Every year I try to do that and they end up spreading it over 3 or 4 months, and my wife raises hell about the monthly bill. If I just paid it, she'd only raise hell about all the time I spend watching the games and here at CC.net. That, I can handle.

    Deckard is right.

I checked on this SPECIFICALLY because we got screwed last year.

Time Warner added a SPORTS package that includes NBA TV and it is $2 a month....I ponied up for it.....it also includes champions league soccer, so I kind of like it.

DD, were you able to pay a lump sum for LP? I know NBA TV is a monthly thing, but my domestic harmony is imperiled by the monthly LP thing added to RoadRunner, added to PP-view, added to premium channels... you get the picture. ;)

I thought Brenham was northwest of Houston.

What's the difference between NBATV and NBALP?

Sorry, I had a senior moment. Of course, you are correct. But, still no one bothered to answer my question, and now that you mention it I can't remember whether all the games were shown on 51, 39, TNT, or NBC. I may have missed more than I remember, and do sell outs show locally like the NFL or is it the owners perogative.

I want to make sure i have the option of watching every game, how does one do that ? Please answer.
