Does anyone know how the NBA League Pass broadband deal works exactly? I have never done it before and need help!

How do we actually log in and test the NBA broadband program out to make sure things are working properly for tomorrow's games?

I assume you possibly log into the main link
    http://www.nba.com/broadband/league_pass.jsp

but what information do you provide that lets you successfully view games tomorrow? FYI, I ordered through Time Warner last week (the customer service Rep did not have a clue about me getting the broadband part for free so they were no help with the instructions to access the site).

On the broadband page on the right it gives instructions:

    3: Verify Your Account
Choose a game to watch and verify your NBA LEAGUE PASS account by choosing your NBA LEAGUE PASS provider and entering your account number.

I think that is the answer...but I don't see them broadcasting any of the games tonight...so maybe the TNT games are not broadcast as league pass games?

TNT games aren't usually on League Pass television, either.

I think they may do it by IP address, so if you spoof another IP, you can probably get them.

You guys need to keep this stuff on the down low. I'm pretty sure Clutch doesn't want his posters conspiring to commit fraud on this site.

I purchased NBA League Pass but have no use for the broadband portion...if anybody is interested for splitting it 50/50 ($90 to you), let me know ASAP by e-mailing me at pranshu.khanna@gmail.com

games start tonight. fyi I live in NY, so unless you run your browser through a proxy, Knicks games will be blacked out.

    thanks

I sure hopes this works. I'm looking forward to being able to watch the games while in chat. During the season, when I have them on LP and NBATV, it's pretty hard to do both. I have a 13" TV in my study by the PC, but I really don't want to pay for a cable box for the damn thing. I have a cable hookup, for CNN, ESPN, etc., but don't want to shell out even more than I do already, which is a hell of a lot, to get yet another box. Guess I'll find out tonight about the online quality!

    Thanks for the heads-up, DD!

Yeah, I am getting the same thing. It says click the game link and provide the TV bill account number for them to verify, but there is no link. This thing sucks.

Does anyone even see a link? Mine does not show anything to click on to provide details.

On the TV in Austin on Time Warner Digital Cable it shows the game on channel 919.

I'm very interested in going half and half with someone to be able to use the online portion. I really want to hammer this out by tonight's game. My AIM is Travis878 I'm on all the time. My email address is travisx8@yahoo.com. Lets get this done.

I see the links now, they just put them in there. :D

I tried the verification. All you need to do is select the provider and key in the account#. Mine went thru. sweet. :D

Just click the link, and then it takes you to the verification. Select the provider from the drop down list and type in the account#. I dont know if the smaller providers listed there. Seems you can fax your account info to NBA.com to verify too.

After go thru all that, I saw the media player which I used to watch the NBA euro tour that worked for me. Of course there is no pictures now.

    On a slight tangent-

I've had league pass for the last couple of years and this is my first with Time Warner, I'm in Dallas, since when is it an extra $5 a month to have NBA TV????

Do you have to enter all that info every time you want to watch a game or does it save it for you?

I ordered LP last month, logged onto nba.com, clicked on the blue game link and this is what it says:

"If you are a new customer, you must create an account so that
when you return to our site, you can be authenticated to watch our content."

Anyone else getting this? I don't see this "verification" page anywhere...

Just go ahead and create your account. I went through the same crap a coule of weeks ago after I ordered my LP.

I think if you don't clear your cookies in your browser, you won't have to enter it again.
