since the account has personal info, i doubt anyone will provide own account to you. maybe i am wrong.

i have a suggestion. talk to your parents and closest relatives. if they have cable or dish, you can pay them to get league pass and then you create account for yourself to watch games online. ;)

I was already able to set it to record on FSHouston as well. I didn't check the LP channels (since FSH worked) but I will have to try them on Thursday and see what I get.

Honestly, I am hoping that FSH is a constant channel with my regular sports pack so I can get that 159 bucks back. But I have decided to wait until the "deadline" to make my final cut, like Daryl Morey! ;)

Maybe living so far from Houston isn't a bad thing with DirecTv

I live in KY. I thought that it was going to block me out last night, but instead it just showed me the pregame, game and postgame, then it went back to "black" with no programming.

I don't know if region matters, but I figured if it was a channel like FSN SW and conflicted with FSN Houston, I would only get one of the two. Thankfully that wasn't the case.

About the partial game issue on cable... Last season I had Grande Communications Cable in San Marcos and I purchased NBALP from them.

They didn't have enough channels either but games only got partially shown when there was a massive amount of games on in one night.

Please tell me that Time Warner Austin doesn't make this a regular occurrence.

I know that if you haggle enough with any type of service provider for long enough you can get close to anything that you want, or something else that will satisfy you at least. I know i won't be able to get them to add more channels to NBALP though. But i will settle... lol

But last season I did get Grande Comm. to refund me 25% of NBALP over another issue.

I live with my parents and we have cable TV. The provider is foxtel ( i dno if you guys have heard of it) and last year when i called em up the guy seemed stunned when i asked if he provided NBA League Pass. He had no idea what i was on about.

So ye im not sure where to go from here

PS. Is the audio pass going to be free all year. I listened to the game today and didnt find it to bad.

i can feel the pain you have.

    Solution:

    1) convince your parents to switch to dish or direct tv.

    2) use some kind of streamline softwares to watch games assuming you have own computer. i did it yesterday. quality is not good as tv but better than audio. a good thing is you can learn chinese. ;)

i think all cable companies have same problem. i use dish network. i haven't had any problem. i guess all satelite tv companies, such dish or direct tv, are ok.

Should be, they are running a special on it actually, $159 for the season. Just call your local TW office and they'll get you set up

Don't really know what the detailed ins and outs of NBALP are but this has been my experience:

I live in the Austin area but work in College Station. I have DirecTV in both locations. In CS, last season, only games covered by FSN were shown, with games covered by CH 20 NOT shown, but FSN is part of the standard DirecTV package in CS without having to subscribe to the Sports Package (which also gives you the NBA.com channel. In Georgetown, all the games not on national TV are on LP. I get NBA TV as part of NBALP with DirecTV, so games shown on NBA TV can also be seen, no need for the Sports Package. (DirecTV has strange packaging, so this may not apply to all areas/regions of the country.) I thought I heard Bill Worrel say last night that even the CH 20 games will be picked up by FSN this season. If that's the case, then in CS you should be able to see all games except those on NBA TV. So in that case, you just add the Sports Package and you get all the games. I hope I heard right about the CH 20 games. Otherwise, it will be like last season.

In the Austin area, sometimes FSN will be available for some unknown reason so that if NBALP is using the feed of the opposing team and you'd rather see Bill Worrel (and whichever sidekick is on), you can watch that instead of the NBALP channel. It seems to depend on the Spurs schedule. If the Spurs are playing a game the same night as the Rockets, that is likely what will be carried on FSSW and will trump any chance of getting a FSN feed.

Bill commented last night that they would have 67 games on FSN (60 regular season and 7 preseason)

so if you got 8 preseason games and 82 regular season ones, that is 90 total.

if 67 of those are FSN, then that leaves 23 on KTXH

if that turns out wrong, its Bill's fault not mine, Im just relaying what was said. :p

I wouldn't mind letting a fellow Rockets fan use my slingbox for games throughout the season. I have 3 cable boxes and they are all on the Rockets game when they are playing. PM me if you wanna give it a whirl when season starts.

With Dish Network (link), you can get NBALP for $159 at the early bird price (20 bucks saving over the regular price). Pretty cool. I think it's cheaper than last year and the year before, with or without inflation.
