Okay... Those with Directv.... so if I am getting FSN Houston right now.. cause I am watching the pregame show... then I should get all the Rockets games this season... right? I ask because if so I am canceling League pass... cause the Rockets games are the only ones I really care about. Anyone know the answer to that?
they may very well let you see the pregame, but cut it off before the game. Id wait to cancel till you see what happens.
any 1 have slingbox (http://www.slingmedia.com/go/slingbox-av) in houston ? now that would be awesome for us out of towners!
I have league pass. I ordered the Sports Package in addition to league pass just to get the Fox Sports Houston channel to watch tonight's preseason games. So far, I can see the pre-game show. Direct Tv told me that Fox Sports Houston is an alternate channel to Fox Sports South West that broadcast content that overflows frrom Fox Sports South West. I'm hoping that Thursday's game will be on one of the channels Fox Sports South West or Fox Sports Houston. I would wait to find out if they block out games before cancelling League Pass.....not sure if you can get every game on Fox Sports.
Thanks for the info CCS. I think I will wait until the last minute and see what exactly I get on FSN. There are so many of them, with the same programming, half the time I can't even tell what region they are supposed to be.
Actually, the preseason games are on league pass! I just turned to the channel and there they are...they just waited till before tip off to put it on the menu. Bastards.
a tv I would be willing to do that as well. This is actually the only way i can do it i guess because i dont have a tv provider to run through. I would also just use the broadband feature. If anyone is willing to do that for me as well then give me a email mattbineth@hotmail.com
It's Bill and Matt...but sometimes they have the opposing teams broadcast. Not sure what makes them decide to go with which.
I also noticed that Thursday's game v. Patheniskos will be available on Fox Sporsts Houston.... I was able to watch it on both Fox Sports Houston and League Pass channels today...both channels were avialable. Though Leauge Pass seems to wait later to put it on the menu, whereas Fox Sports Houston already has it on the menu so I can tivo it 2 days in advance. So far, I won't miss a single minute of Rockets basketball. woohoo.
I live in San Marcos and I have Time Warner Austin cable. I just bought NBALP and I was wondering if anyone that's in Austin was able to watch the preseason game vs. the Hornets on NBALP. My understanding is that they only broadcast regular season games. Also, does anyone know if Time Warner Austin offers any packages that include Fox Sports Houston?
The "Sports Pak" only includes a couple of fox sports college channels. There is no way to get FSN Houston in Austin unfortunately. Besides, even if you could, it is highly unlikely that you would also get FSN Houston HD which is what I'm after with league pass. Just to let everyone know there is a free preview of league pass this year beginning on Oct. 30. It will last until Nov. 6 at which point the price of NBALP will increase.
1) mrdan explained very well. which fsn you get depends on where you are. i don't think you can get fsn-houston. only people living in houston area can get fsn-houston. i live in austin. i can get fsn-southwest. it is different from fsn-houston. 2) you're right. league pass covers regular season games only. i have league pass, but i didn't get last nite preseason game. 3) if i am not wrong, all preseason games are on fsn-houston. 4) if you have cable and subscribe league pass, be prepared to watch rox games partially. what i mean is you might watch part of each game not whole game. the reason is cable company doesn't dedicate enough channels to cover all games each night. for example, league pass may have 6 nba games that night and cable company only dedicates 3 channels instead 6 channels. what they are going to do is to use time zone to survive. they may sign one east conference game and one west conference game on same channel per their starting time. If 2nd game starts a little bit early, it is very likely two games are overlap. However, dish network and direct tv have more channels for league pass so it is less possiblity for this issue to happen. 5) if you live in houston area, you won't worry about league pass issue and just get fsn-houston sport package. whether you are living in houston area, call tv carrier to clarify it. Hope this post gives a lot of wanders a clear idea.
Has anyone else attempted to buy League Pass in Dallas? Time Warner tells me it's not yet available. This close to the season, I find it disturbing.
