what hell do you have? you have limited bandwidth with internet access? you're screwed. only thing i can think about is to use p2p or other internet streamline software to watch games online. Go try download one of those softwares listed in this thread. Good luck!
In Australia we pay around 40 bucks a month and get 10GB or 12GB ( cant remember) at a very high speed. Once we exceed that level the speed of the connection is drastically reduced. I'm actually not sure why the Internet companies do that here as im not sure what point it serves them. But ye thats how we do it down here. Thats why i really want to know how much Bandwidth NBALP will use because i have a limit. ATM i am streaming games from programs such as Sopcast and TVU Player but the bandwidth used on it is quite large. So ye basically i wanna know how much bandwidth NBALP games will use when i watch em over the net. And how do i go about getting NBALP because i dont have a TV network that provides it like you guys do.
here in us, we sign up nba league pass through a tv carrier. I don't know whether you can subscribe it w/o tv carrier. it seems to me you can't subscribe the nba league pass w/o tv carrier. i remember i did some reseaches long time ago on it. i am very sorry you have trouble to watch rox games.
Hmm. Thats really disappointing. I really wanted to watch as many Rox games as i could this year. Last year i only got to watch about 35 via streaming. I was looking forward to coming home from school, not knowing the result, and watching the replays on NBALP through the broadband feature. Really sucks being a Rockets Fan in Australia. Oh well, thanks for your help anyway
AHAH. I have nothing against the US. But i couldnt leave Australia its the greatest. And also im only 17 and still living with the parents so its a little difficult One day ill come over to Houston and see a few games. One Day..
It penalizes the people who use massive amounts of bandwidth, ie people who always download movies/music. The normal/average user does not use NEAR that much bandwidth in a month.
As a computer savvy person, I could NEVER watch a live game on SOPcast/TVU or whatever. I did see some older streams, but never current. I live in Dallas & I've ordered League Pass in hopes to watch a ton more Rox games!
you will definitely see all rox games on league pass channels except those nationally broadcasted games.
hey, i have comcast (i live in st louis) and i just called and they said they do not provide league pass and haven't since 2005. i was pretty crushed, but i'm looking for anyone who wants to split the package with me. you'll only have to pay one third of the total price, i'll pay two thirds and you can have the TV access (i'll just be using the league pass broadband feature). it would need to be someone who doesn't live in houston but has a cable provider that works with league pass. if you are serious about this, please email me at anthony.zoghbi@gmail.com I really want to be able to watch all of the games online and I'm tired of Sopcasts poor quality... PLEEEEEEEASE help!!
Yeah except for 1 game and 1/2 of another game sometime during the season, if the past 2 years are any indication. Last year out of towner missed one game played on a Sunday, since it was on at the same time as ABC's sunday game League pass was not allow to show any games due to contractual agreements. Every year I miss the first half of a game when they are too many games on the schedule and the Rockets are set to play after an Eastern conference game that starts at 6 pm CST ends, usually right after half time in the Rockets game and League pass switchs over. It annoys me because I always want to watch ever single game
what tv carrier are you with? i heard cable companies did that because they don't enough channels dedicated to nba league pass so they use one channel cover different time zones.
I could easily go over 10 gigs just by downloading game demos on my Xbox and PC. Apple and Microsoft want us to buy as much media as we can online. Streaming an HD movie to an Xbox can easily use 3 gigs or more.
Well first you need to figure out the bitrate at which the games are broadcast on LP. Then it's (bitrate / 8) * (time in seconds) * (1/1024) = Bandwidth used in megabytes. Of course this is just a rough estimate, but I would venture a guess that you would be using in excess of 500 megabytes per game.
Whoops, typed it in a hurry before class. Thanks for catching that. Now off to pick up my digital cable box!
so i live in LA and have dish network and ordered LP of course and have their sports package. my question is this: all preseason games blacked out on the FSN channels? i know reg season games are but thats a given hence i purchased LP. hoping cuz i get FSN SW and i see the game on the listing hoping i get it otherwise i am gonna be an online peer
