If the NBA is fake then how did Spurs-Pistons happen? How did the Magic beat the Cavs? I'm NOT saying that superstar calls don't happen, but that doesn't mean the NBA is completely rigged.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. I love this rebuttal to the NBA rigging stuff. The refs can't make you make shots. They can put you in a position, or even give you benefit of the doubt plays, but you still gotta hit your shots. You can't polish a turd.
Really I don't believe it is rigged, but it is definitely a favoritism league. Celtics - Cuz they are in huge city w/ a bunch of die hard fans Cavs - LBJ, the end Lakers - Stern's favorite + the same as Boston Mavs - Because Cuban whines, he gets what he wants. Explain to me this also, this has nothing to do with rigging but everything to do with calling game fairly: Brooks jumps on Dampier's back and gets a flagrant, this happens in almost EVERY SINGLE GAME vs. Yao, why has Yao never gotten those flagrant FTs? Yao really gets the shaft from Stern for whatever reason. I honestly believe if Yao was on the Lakers, he would be shooting 25 FTs a game, but hell what do I know.
Dwight is a superstar and what AB did to Dampier or what happens to Yao is NOTHING compared to what happens to Dwight every single game. And yet the Magic made the NBA finals.
When the refs make a series of questionable calls or non-calls toward the end of games, I think it would be funny if the Rowdies would start chanting "DON-A-GHY!...DON-A-GHY!...DON-A-GHY!"
