    For stats purposes, are these play-in games considered playoffs, regular season or exhibition games?

    My vote would be technically be a regular season game. For TV ratings, ESPN is treating it with playoff or Christmas game importance.

    Ja Morant gotta play better, these kind of low seed games usually where players announce themselves to the world but he's been very meh.

    Looks like none of the above.

    Nba.com stats show Playin as a new Season Type filter, added to the others — Preseason, Reg Season, All-star and Playoffs.

    Basketball-Reference doesnt even include them anywhere, yet, for players, but has them in the Team’s game list noted as “Playin Game”

    I have to give it to Marc Davis...he's consistent...at least you know you're going to get a terribly officiated game when he's out there.

    So, I suppose technical fouls dont count towards Playoff limits.

    Just as I say that: JVG just said they are freebies ... nothing counts toward regular season or playoffs
