If the Blazers are the 4 seed without home court advantage, they are basically the 5 seed.

So the Spurs beat GS tonight... should we be worried about this?

    Not sure.

But I will say that the Spurs, and not GSW, should be the scariest team in the WC right now.

Seeds 2-6 in the West are only separated by 2 games right now. Anything can happen between tomorrow and the end of the season. Spurs could rise to 2, we could drop to 6 (knock on wood).

I wonder chaotic it will be on the final game, in seeing how coaches of the top seeds decide to either tank a game or try to win in getting a specific matchup in their favor.

Not yet. If they beat OKC on Tuesday, then I'd be worried. The Rockets at that point will probably have to win one of those two games against them in order to hold them off.

If they lose at OKC, they go to 27 losses and we're in good shape to finish ahead of them. Even if they sweep both games against us, beating New Orleans, Charlotte, and Utah to close out the year would keep us at 26 losses.

Of course, then there's the issue of the Clippers and Grizzlies and where those two teams finish.

We got 8 wins out of the last 10 games and it is still tighter than tight. Lol

Those recent losses to the Suns at home and Toronto loom large as we gave away our cushion. Five big games left.

if we beat SAS once, we should be able to hold the 2 spot.

praying twice as they will be on back to back.

That's what's so scary. The Rockets are playing great ball the last few weeks. The Suns loss is the only blemish on an otherwise stellar record. Even the Raptors loss is excusable given how shorthanded they were and it being on a B2B(plus the refs screwed us).

But when you're being chased by the likes of the Clippers and Spurs who aren't exactly losing any games, you don't make up any ground. Shoot, even the Blazers have been really good since that 5-game losing streak.
