Ahh no wonder. I figured he had got hurt otherwise they would have thrown him out there tonight I think. Looks like Utah is fighting back into this. may be too little too late against this defense.
With 5:00 left, Jazz are down 75-63. If the Jazz hold the Grizzlies scoreless the rest of the way, could they even win then? I doubt it.
Six months ago, that's what I expected our season to look like. Thank you again, Daryl, for the Harden trade.
Both Duncan and Parker played 27 minutes each, and the Spurs still lost to the Wolves by 10 at home...we need to get that 7th seed!
I gotta give Jazz some props. With Jefferson & Millsap's free agent status, this team should have imploded with them wanting to play for stats, and the young guys wanting more minutes, but they kept it together and gave it a good run. I get that the Jazz are hated here, but I wasn't a Rockets fan back then, and they have some pretty good character young guys on that team. Would rather have seen them than Kobe-less Lakers.
On the same token, what an absolute joke from the Jazz. They're the ones up against elimination, yet Jefferson and Foye just stood there, half bent over, while Bayless was willing to go to the floor and get it. Pretty much sums up the game. Just a horrible effort from the Jazz, given the stakes. I know they're not a perfect team, but what strikes me tonight is the lack of commitment. They basically mailed it in.
Stupid Jazz. Well now the Rockets job is to send the Laker's to their death against OKC. Against the Spurs they might have a chance. Against OKC, no chance.
