You really don't care for high scoring guards do you? And Wade was a very ball dominant player in his prime.
I don't care for isolation players. Isolation is one of the least efficient sets in basketball and almost invariably there's a better option if you trust your teammates. In some cases, such as with Jordan, LeBron, and Wade, the end result of the iso is a very high percentage shot which makes it an acceptable play, but most of the time, it's just bad basketball. Wade may employ a lot of dribbling but he (like MJ before him) has always been excellent off-ball, even as a rookie when Odom would share a lot of the ballhandling. Now we're seeing it with LeBron, which has allowed the two of them to coexist.
Fact of the matter is saying that Kobe is "worthless as a winner" is just untrue. There is absolutely no evidence to back up that claim.
Kobe is better off the ball than Wade and very close to Jordan. Problem is he's not willing to always do that.
Well, I guess we have to agree to disagree. Because there's no way in hell that Kobe was anywhere near as good as Jordan off the ball.
I mean moving when the ball isn't in your hands. Kobe is horrible at this. It is undeniable if you watch any Laker games.
I didn't pay enough attention to Jordan without the ball in non scoring situations to say. I was only talking about off the ball scoring
Kobe is not that great. $100mill payroll, Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, and a hobbling Steve Nash. Might not make the playoffs. Offensively, it's entertaining to watch Kobe playing. He's not the ideal player that can "make" it work. Usually others adjust to him. Don't care what the injury and coaching situation is. You put Cp3, KD, LBJ on that team and they dominate. Fans would call it unfair. Kobe is outperformed by teammates too often compared to other top-5 NBA players. He usually puts up the most points, but who wouldn't when taking almost twice as many shots as the next player. Very few stars in the league have games where they take almost as many shots as the entire starting line-up combined. Melo may have a few games, but he doesn't have Dwight and co. No matter how you try to twist it, the Lakers have underachieved significantly this year.
