Warriors are so damn inconsistent. How do you only score 84 pts again the Knicks and 95+ against the Grizzlies...its mind blowing.
They are really a jump-shot dependent team. When they hit those tough Js one after another, their offense looks great, but nobody stays hot all the time. And they don't really have much of a backup plan-- those guys hit shots (both 2s and 3s) at a high rate, but they are average or below at the rate of drawing fouls, offensive rebounds and turnovers.
I hope that Bev comes back, because the thought of even the small possibility of losing a 1st round series to Portland is nauseating...
Tonight is another reminder that teams are gonna have good and bad games during the course of every season. Portland beat Memphis soundly after struggling for a stretch. GSW and PHX lost to teams with worse records.
As bad as Lin was last night, I don't see him being that terrible in the playoffs, especially against Lillard who he's had success with. But let's get real, we should be able to beat the Blazers even if Lin is sucking. But yea, if we don't end up beating the Blazers it would be a total waste of a season.
Why wouldn't he be terrible in the playoffs? Last night's game is nothing compared to how it will be. The game slows down a lot more and every play counts. Superstars get an earful if they ever pull that stupid jump to nowhere move Lin always pulls. He has potential, but he is incredibly stupid on the court, and it will show. The rockets won't need someone that will score a bunch of points or get a crazy number of assists, they need someone to take care of the ball and play within the offense---something Lin is only capable of doing every 1 in 4 games.
