    It's real that people think it's real and craft it into their narrative - i mean a Bulletin Board really is a high school thing.

    But, IMO the Celtics aren't going to be any more or less successful at replacing Williams weakside/off ball helping and shot blocking (which is premised on his unique size and athletism) because Bruce Brown mentioned that - quelle horreur - his replacements don't have the sane capability and have to play differently, something literally everyone who watches or follows the NBA knows.

    I mean it's like the Warriors in 18 saying " hey CP3 injury is good for is" and then it magically causes Eric Gordon to hit 10 3 pointers in game 7 because hes so motivated and disrespected. Life just doesn't work that way at this level, or at least, its very hard to prove that it does in the absence of other factors.

    Not really. It’s absolutely in levels above high school. I’ve even seen it in kelvin Sampson’s. It definitely gives players an added edge that wasn’t there before

    Also, it's not like Robert Williams is Rudy Gobert. Bruce Brown is completely discounting Smart, Brown, Tatum, etc.

    Again, I don't doubt people put it in their narratives.

    I doubt that Al Horford or Daniel Theis are now running extra laps to avenge this insult (and if they are theyre dumb) or will play any differently.

    Though I'm sure someone will write an article saying they did.

    It’s not about running extra laps but their mindsets are definitely going to remember what a nobody like BB said. And yeah it is different and will be a factor. You open your mouth and can’t really back it up. They’ll see the repercussions

    Actually he was - Zac Lowe wrote/talked a lot about this, but their defense basically transformed in mid season when they began putting him off the ball and using him.as a switch disruptor type. Like it was all-time great levels of defense.

    We saw a lot of skilled guard play today in both games. That made the difference. Bigs just playing roles.

The Celtics should beat the Nets but if its because Daniel Theis decided to redeem his name by making the right rotation - not because it's his job, abd its the playoffs -- but to show up Bruce Brown, I'll write the Lifetime Movie screenplay for free and sign you over all the royalties
