Where not amazing happens in this game. At least OKC lost. It’s no secret, but Roberson being out hurts OKC in a big way.
Agreed. PP is really clueless for saying what he said about Roberson. The guy is a very limited player but his value to their team is significant.
Because of my thirst for OKC L's early in the season I have watched a bunch of these OKC's games. Only a couple things have stood out: The bench is (surprisingly) better when there are no all-stars running with it. when PG13, Melo and Russ all sit. OKC is lost without Roberson on defense. They literally forget how to play defense when Roberson is not in the lineup OKC is in trouble without Roberson. it's as if he has some kind of symbiotic defensive relationship with Russ. When Russ is loafing in the middle trying to get some stat, Roberson is picking up the slack for him everywhere else.
This is the year OKC is "all in". They have to make a move at the deadline, but I mean, the Clippers are not out of it by any stretch. I doubt they will, but the Thunder could fall to 7, 8 or even out of the playoffs.
I'm better now. These OKC L's don't have the same impact on me they once had. I think I have built up a tolerance.. I need MOAR L's to get that same high I had at the beginning of the season. I think OKC can do it.
You need lunch pail type guys to win. Roberson is able to make big plays at key moments throughout a game. Don’t need to be able to score regularly to be effective. I won’t miss Roberson one bit this season.
Denver is probably going to jump some spots there when Millsap comes back, and it looks like they're also after guys like Evans and Lou, they might be a very annoying team to face in the first round.
OKC's season might come down to the next few clipper games, if Balmer values playoffs and/or the clippers have a real chance of making it if NO keeps losing, they might not sell at the deadline. If they lose before the deadline, I could see a fire sale that would send Lou + Jordan to CLE, Harris to somewhere, and Bradley to OKC in a desperate attempt to replace Roberson.
