The last 5 mins of the game Pitt dumbly tried to run out the clock. Their only points were a tip shot off an airballed 3-pointer and the FTs at the end. Maybe the problem was Syracuse' D was so awesome they couldn't get a legit shot off earlier in the clock. To me, it looked like a classic choke job by the players and a poor decision by Dixon to tell them to run the clock down. When Syracuse' D can lock in over the final 7-8 seconds of a shot clock, you have almost no chance to score.
Yes!!! Horrible, horrible, horrible. And Jamie Dixon is actually a really good coach. Really surprised they went conservative, and that's what gave Syracuse a chance. Can't say I'm upset though. Everybody loves a buzzer-beater, and that was one of the better one's in recent memory. Absolutely sick shot by Ennis! Dude has played his way all the way into the Top 10 in the draft, most likely.
