Is Monty Williams the new Avery Johnson. Last year their was a big hoopla about 3 of the final 4 coaches in the playoffs being African American. But bud ended up winning the title. The nba virtue signals like no other league in sports. Maybe fifa comes close with the racial politics that come with ballon d’or winners being mostly white. We will see if mpabbe wins one in the future

The Lakers don't do superteams very well.

LeBron wasn't part of the Kobe/Shaq/Malone/Payton or Kobe/Gasol/Howard/Nash "superteams." The Lakers in general seem to have poor results outside of dominant two-man teams. They should have stuck with LeBron/AD and good role-players instead of LeBron/AD/Westbrook and crap.

Lakers were 20-5 and them Malone got injured and missed months. Kobe/Shaq's Lakers were gonna bull doze the league if it weren't for serious injuries. They went 34-9 with Karl in the lineup.

You have a better case with Howard's team. He was just a phony who was a knucklehead and wasn't as good as advertised. There's a reason why he's left off the top 75 all time team
