Never said otherwise. Personally I saw Lamb and Terrence Jones doing well and even Royce doing decent if he had not quit battling his inner demons. But you do the Harden trade any time every day.
Oh trust me Russ didnt forget... as you saw tonight...its personal every time OKC plays Houston. Perk will continue to shut down your 20 million dollar man. and Thabo owns Harden Question for Rox fans: If this is a "new age"....how come OKC is beating down Houston like last yr??
4th game in 5 nights, on the road. The players were a step slow and the shots are an inch short. As much as coaches preach "no excuses" to the players, these things have a real impact on NBA games if you look at the numbers over the years. This game, OKC benefited from the rest advantage, another night they will not and we'll see what happens then. In the end, both of these teams will likely end up in the playoffs. The regular season is just something you do for seeding while trying to avoid catastrophic injuries.
Do you think not having Westbrook impacts the game?? I dont care if its 7 games in 2 nights. Rockets lost by 31 points. No way they are contenders tbh
One game never means much. Plenty of teams have gotten blown out even in one playoff game only to come back to beat the exact same team a couple nights later and sometimes even win the series. Yes, Westbrook is missing. But Houston has also been missing two of its more important guys, Asik and Beverley, for a while now. Asik was pretty much the most important guy on the team last year. By the end of the season, Houston will most likely be a different team -- either with guys returning or brought in through a trade (most likely involving Asik). We'll see what version of Westbrook we will get by playoff time.
Sure it does. Do you think harden playing on a foot injury, parsons playing on back spasms, as well as jones playing somewhat injured, and no Beverly while OKC is fully healthy besides Westbrook have any impact on the game? Just remember, -they did play 4 games in 5 nights -they are still trying to learn to play with one another while OKC has had the same players over the last 4/5 years except for a player or 2 -30 point blowouts in the Nba are normal, you're acting as if they never happen to good teams
Oh and another thing, it took OKC 3 drafts which had (3 players that are top 20 at worst) to finally make the playoff. Guess who was the last piece of the puzzle? It took Houston 1 year with the addition of 1 player (top 20 at worst in the NBa) to get similar seeding OKC the first year in the playoffs.
Grapenutz keeps trollin' and some of you feel the need to keep responding, ha. Ignore it, ignore him. He's not BigBenito or A3PO(other Thunder fans on the site). He ain't gonna sit back and be quiet. That said...OKC is absolutely still better than Houston with or without Westbrook. Said it in the Westbrook thread, he and the Thunder will be fine. He'll be back. Thunder aren't going away. Don't write 'em off, don't think they're gonna fall in the standings. Spoiler Again, don't write 'em off, don't think they're gonna fall in the standings. Rockets are not overtaking OKC. Stop that.
Different animal, same/similar results. Westbrook will be back. (And yeah, Houston's roster is sure to change too.)
They almost beat okc last year with a less talented roster...add t.jones and Dwight and the result could be different.
Absolutely true, and quite sad really. This team, currently, isn't a legit contender and will possibly get bounced out of the first round. The 2 stars - Howard and Harden - are very inconsistent. Parsons is the only consistent one. The team needs someone like Rondo to challenge these guys.
