Outside of GS, the Rockets would be who I, as a Clipper fan, would love to play. I just don't think they matchup with the Clippers at all. The teams that give the Clippers problems have bigs who can pick and pop, to pull DJ away from the hoop and expose the weak interior defense. The Rockets are perimeter oriented and the Clippers have been defending that as well as anyone, which is how they can beat or hang with the elite shooting teams anywhere
It was like one of those slips, Kenny is easily the SMARTEST one out of all of them. He didn't mean it but let it slip because GS has been in the conversation for so long...
Kenny: Rockets 2nd tier. Not consistent enough. To beat the Spurs, you have to play at an 8. To beat the Rockets, you can play at a 6 and get a win. They'll play at a 5. The Spurs never play at anything other than an 8. You don't always have to play well to play against the Rockets and win. Until you have to play well to beat them,... Shaq: I'd like to see them get easier wins. Starts with Howard. When you dominate down low, it makes it easier for other guys to hit shots. Flailing around and one on one shots, it won't get you a championship. Chuck: You gotta be smarter. You can't get in foul trouble. Only 15 minutes, that won't get it done.
he was correct. the rockets have to stop playing down to opponents. basically bring their best every night. shaq is too biased to take what he says about howard seriously. he never got into foul trouble in a regular season game during his career?
Huh, maybe it's because I've been in the industry bbut I never feel like Kenny says anything insightful. He just parrots cliches. A least Chuck goes out on a limb and makes some unconventional predictions.
TNT crew is pretty accurate with putting the Rox in second tier right now because they aren't consistent enough. They have got to start beating the teams they are suppose to beat more consistently and bring a consistent effort. Injuries or not, if Rox just bought a better effort more consistently, they would be right up there record wise with SA, OKC and Portland right now.
I made sure. Both losses to the Clippers were during the failed Dwasik experiment. Games 4 & 7. Rockets are a different team now.
I hate to agree with Kenny (he does make dumb comments now and then) but we lack consistency and it starts with a lack of discipline. Consistency was never a problem when superstar talent was lacking a few years ago (Post Yao-Mac era), but now it is definitely something that needs to be improved if this current Rockets team is to do some serious damage come playoff time. On the good side, injuries to multiple players at one time or another, plus a sulking backup center who everyone here counted to provide 48 minutes of paint defense has thrown a monkey wrench to the system. One way to quickly help with the injuries thus correcting some of the consistency problems is to get a decent backup center and perimeter players, essentially shoring up the bench with more amnunition. If Asik really does not want to be here (was he even sitting in our bench today???), then trade him now, and get the help that Howard, Parsons, Lin, and Harden need. I advocate for a trade now, since I am not convinced that we need a 3rd superstar.
hmmm who was our coach a few years back.... i think it rick adelman there are to many rumors out there and you can tell from tnt and espn games that mchale is not a good coach

What a disgusting piece of journalism. Miss-pelt words. And completely wrong body part when explaining the injury
