I like them they look like 90's retro Brooklyn. I was born in Houston and raised on Long Island so maybe it's a New Yorks 90's hip hop thing.
I'd like to take your word for that, but the numbers simply disagree with your claim. Steph curry ISO points per possession 2016 - 1.08 (.99 kd in okc) 2017 - 1.09. (1.05 Kd) 2018 - 1.05. (1.06 kd) 2019 - 1.08. (1.06) Those are all elite numbers. Curry scored over 47% of his points on ISO. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...shows-stephen-curry-can-dominate-in-same-way/ Obviously this Steph isn't the same as those previous iterations but the lack of veteran players and kerr's offense are huge factors also. Kerr runs this offense because he has publicly voiced his dislike of heavy pick and roll or iso offense. He believes in an ideal, sharing, motion, equal offense that simply doesn't work without a team of vets. Kerr ran this horrific noffense last season with terrible results
I know it's early, but im impressed with the Celtics. I thought they would have been getting blown out by now. Brooklyn look good, but regular good.
I do remember Kerr being mad whenever KD went ISO no matter how great the result. Kerr needs to unleash Steph then. Kerr has an Ego so I hope he takes his trash offense to the 11 seed.
Why would we want the Nets trash assets and what could anyone possibly get for those in a three team trade, can yall think of a team?
I don't doubt the efficiency of Curry's ISO, but that 47% of his points scored on ISO is definitely wrong. Just did a quick search: https://www.nba.com/stats/players/isolation/?SeasonYear=2018-19&SeasonType=Regular Season&sort=POSS&dir=1&CF=TEAM_ABBREVIATION*E*GSW The last full season Curry played is 2018-2019, where he averaged 1.4 points on ISO, that's 5.1% of his total points, not 47%, lol. Only Harden (50.1%) scored more than 47% of his points on ISO, the distant 2nd is Chris Paul (24.4%). Curry's ISO efficiency is good, but the volume is so low (1.3 possessions per game, ranked 69 in the league) that the efficiency certainly doesn't reflect his true ISO ability. As a matter of fact, Christian Wood averaged more points on ISO with a higher efficiency than Curry in that season! Would you call Wood an elite ISO player (better than Curry) that year? For the same reason, you can't call Curry an elite ISO player because of his good efficiency.
This commentary duo makes me want to shoot a nail gun into my ears. These big corn dogs are ruining a perfectly good game, and more so my entire Christmas.
Good catch. I meant to say his ISO score freq was over 47% in each of those year and that despite the efficiency staying the same his ISO volume went down dramatically with Kerr. As you pointed out in 18-19 his ISO volume was only 69th in the league. In 2015-16 Curry ISO volume was nearly doubled at 10% of his points and he was 13th in the league. https://www.nba.com/stats/players/isolation/?SeasonYear=2015-16&SeasonType=Regular Season&sort=POSS_PCT&dir=1&CF=TEAM_ABBREVIATION*E*GSW Curry has over 5 years of excellent ISO numbers, the contention I was replying to was that "Curry has no ISO game" and (to the larger point) that was the reason Kerr ran this offense. I don't recall calling Curry an elite ISO player, that is certainly a debatable point. As for Clinton Woods, if what you said is true about his 2018-19 numbers, then I would say the same thing I said about Curry... that he posted elite numbers.
