it feels like the bulls have won 25 straight regular season games against lebron. they never seem to win, especially if it's on national tv (maybe they've won on some non-national games). and i don't see why you play lebron 45 minutes. if you're going to come out and play absolutely zero D for the third straight game and turn it over nearly 20 times again for the third straight game which pretty much proves you have no interest in winning or playing hard for the third straight game, why play lebron for the whole game just to put extra wear and tear on him? and damn, for a guy with 27 points, 13-22 shooting, and 12 assists, lebron played a pretty awful game. so many turnovers, burned on D so many times, no effort on rebounds.
In light of the fact that the Cavs are winless since dap-gate, at some point we should probably talk about JR's shooting slump. He went 3/8 tonight, raising his FG% from 30.3% to 30.8%. Did he touch a basketball at all during the offseason?
yeah jr smith put up 2 awful games before dap-gate and now has just continued. it looked like he was out of it the way he started with 3 3's but then he bricked everything. before this slump he was actually shooting 39% on 3's so i'm not sure what happened after that. dap-gate probably could have happened at any time, but it doesn't look good when it happened right when the cavs decided to start playing like crap. i was happy for jr last season with the championship and finally starting to get his career on track and then the big contract, but now with the ridiculous gaffe the other day and this shooting slump i'm wondering if something isn't happening behind the scenes in terms of effort or working hard off the court. he ain't good enough to stop caring.
