The Warriors are so overrated. Lulz at the people who think this team has a chance to contend in the West.
Depends where is. That didn't look like goaltending to me. The angle above the basket is a little deceptive but if you see it from the side, it looks just like a normal tip. The intent of the rule is to prevent you from making a "funnel" around the basket. So good to see ugly Troll Jackson blow it again. Worst coach in the NBA by far.
I think this is a huge part of it. Plus, I think people are still enamored with their Cinderella story from last season... Blazers will likely get the same treatment if they make a deep run. Not gonna lie, I got caught up in the Cinderella hype lol. A lot of their guys are very likeable (except I hate Draymond Green), and they are easily one of the most fun teams to watch, even if they aren't winning.
Weren't like half the people here sucking on the Warriors **** to start the season? Soft ass team. Should be sponsored by Charmin.
Maybe not to start the season, but definitely after those two Thunder games (myself included) Then Iggy went down. I had no Idea they would fall apart with just ONE of their core 6 players out.
they almost beat the heat lasat year without the big three too pops is a God because Belineli was garbage whereever he was
It's Gregg Popovich. That's just what he does... finds players that nobody wants, then gets them to play hard and live up to their potential. Big 3 or not, there are no "easy wins" when Pops is leading the charge. The road to the Chip runs through Gregg Popovich.
Yup, after I said that so many people called me out on this board. I think their biggest problem is the charmin they have playing center. Then its probably their POS coach Mark Jackson. He never blames anything on them, the commentators are even like "He should probably be yelling at his own players more than the reffs."
I don't think Bogut is the problem. He rebounds well and is physical enough. Their team is mentally soft. A contender has to have either a group of players who know how to bring it, a team leader (or two) that will take guys to the woodshed or a coach who is a motivator and will rip them a new one. As constructed and coached, the Warriors will be just a "fun team" with a great home crowd. They don't play hard enough, as if they aren't really invested in the outcome. Draymond Green's cheap shots are a contrived "toughness" that doesn't fool anyone. His tactics blew up in their faces last year. Mark Jackson talks a lot about "old school" but he still doesn't have the players to carry it out. We don't even know if he's the right coach to bring toughness out of players. TBD. Unless injuries bite, Warriors will finish with a very good record but they aren't a Finals contender IMO.
Oh I thought Lee played center, I wasn't really talking about Bogut even though he is fools gold too. I agree with everything else, especially the fake "toughness" and "old school" that Jackson tries to preach. There isn't anything old school or tough about shooting contested jumpers all day. The biggest mistake the warriors made was letting jack and Landry go even though they signed Igoudala. That is a net negative imo.
I don't agree because the Warriors need a good perimeter defender in the worst way. As a veteran, Iggy can set an example for the youngsters to follow and learn from. He's also a good backup PG (better than Jack). IMO, when Lee is healthy they don't need Landry. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes and David Lee on one team is a poor mix. Too many perimeter butterflies who hate physicality and can't guard. Next summer, it may come down to moving Thompson or Barnes for a more rounded player. Tough decisions need to be made.
