Can't they just forfeit and end the season early? They are going to be terrible to watch all year, and I can't imagine how they are going to continue to play together as a team. It is one thing if you are the Sixers, and you have a bunch of rookies trying to prove themselves. Then, you can still find reasons to get out of bed in the morning and go play hard. But the Lakers have a bunch of vets who hate each other. And nobody wants to trade for any of them either. How are they going to get through the rest of this season?
Actually, the Lakers is not as bad as you mentioned. Yes they have probably one of the worst defense ever and they have lot of internal issues also. But this team is very hard to predict in terms of performance, they could have a very high ceiling but also a very low floor. They are actually pretty dangerous against the top teams, just because their defense is so bad, it is very easy to have a letdown when you score so easily early on. They have decent size inside, if you will double team Kobe, you could got burn by some offensive rebounds just because Kobe will shoot a lots and brick a lots.
I thought Swaggy P doesn't miss? At one point, the Lakers had missed 36 of their first 41 shots in this game.
Lebron's numbers are starting to creep up as expected. If the Cavs get the #1 seed, he could still win the MVP. In December, 27 points, 5 boards, 9 dimes, 2 steals, 53% fg.
Well was hoping the Spurs/Portland game would be a good one, but of course Pops sits all of his starters. I know it's his choice, and I definitely see the logic to it. But damnit, as a fan it annoys the hell out of me--especially if Portland gets another win on what's been probably the easiest schedule/SoS so far this season.
Seems like for the real contenders, the regular season isn't as critical as for the up and comers. Spurs just trying to reach the playoffs as healthy as possible. they can win anywhere.
@SportsCenter: DEVELOPING: Bucks rookie Jabari Parker helped to locker room after suffering apparent knee injury. He was No. 2 overall pick in 2014 draft.
I guess..but I would think in a season like this where the West is so stacked, every win is going to matter for home court advantage. Again I definitely see the reasoning behind it. It's just frustrating as a fan of the game.
It is, esp. if it's vs the better teams. I don't mind Pop resting them v. the bottom feeders. But you can do whatever you want when you have won as much as Pop. But knowing the Spurs, and they're a year older, health is most important. Outside of OKC, I don't think any team in the West scare the Spurs in the playoffs. Those teams either lack the athleticism or the experience to beat them in a 7 game series. OKC has both. And maybe Pop is wise not to get a top 3 seed to avoid OKC in the first round

Watching PHX and Milwaukee. It is the 3rd quarter. Gerald Green is 2-15. More impressive, he is 1-13 from the 3 point line. 1-13!!! Is this real life?
