I laughed at both the Clippers and the Rockets for losing to them. Tonight Clippers lose, Lakers beat the Rockets..Lakers fans are sleeping well tonight.
Laker fans are celebrating now but they are in for a rude awakening once Kobe returns and their chemistry goes down the toliet again.
May be even worse than that because the injury he's returning from at his age likely points to a drastically less player. I don't care how hard he works to get back from it, he's older. I'd be surprised if he's even as good as he was. They are in for a ruder awakening this offseason. What is best for them is losing, the new CBA encourages building through the draft. It's going to take a few years for them to get their dream FAs (Love, Westbrook...) and there is no guarantee those players are leaving their teams. As for Melo going there, I'm not sure why he'd want to play with Kobe. Dwight turned down 30 million to NOT play with Kobe. Carmelo will have to take 30 million less to leave his hometown and to play with Kobe...and even if he does everyone knows that's not going to work...
right now they're winning by variance, shoot lots, hope you hit significantly more on a given day, win! but once they go back to the slow half court game, you need to win that through performance.
