The team, including Lin, actually shot pretty decent up until the last few minutes. You can see Kobe just wanted to get the ball and would never give it up. They had no team offense whatsoever.

I meant Lin got 18pts on 8 shots, Boozer 13pts, Hill 15pts, even Ellington got 8pts.

It wasn't like his teammates couldn't score on this Suns team. 37 shots is just plain chucking.

not true. Every Lakers starting except for Wesley Johnson had a better shooting percentage than Kobe. We all know Kobe likes to play hero ball and takes contested shots but tonight, the Lakers lost because of Kobe.

there is no kind of offensive flow with the lakers.

i understand they're not very talented outside of kobe *even though it's his fault) but damn, you gotta at least try to have some kind of resemblance of an offense other than kobe going 1 on 5 and chucking.

If Kobe keeps up this super inefficient chucking, the Lakers have a shot at the worst record in the league. Philly would be pissed.

Kobe took 37 shots for 39 points.

Harden would score 70 on 37 shots.

With 5 mins left in the game, NO ONE on the Lakers team wanted to shoot. They were afraid.

And yes I think Kobe was doing a masterful job of chucking everything as well.

Its the perfect combo for him as far as Kobe is concerned. Teammates not willing to take the shot = more shots for Kobe.

    Scorrring Rrrecord!!!!!!

For ppl didn't watch the game, they would think Kobe's teammate all sucked in this game.

They actually did alright against this Suns team. Defensively they still suck donkey balls but offensively everyone except Wes Johnson had a decent game.

It is really no need for Kobe chucking like this. He just refused to pass the ball tonight and Suns were loving it.

Don't matter, he still finds a way to put up points, even if his shots aint falling.

It's not like Kobe is not getting to the FT line either, tonight he had 12 FTA.

Harden scores 35 points on 17-18 shots, Kobe needs 35 shots for 35 points LOL

The second airball resulted from the Lakers/Lin trying to get the ball to Kobe, who couldn't get lose from Marcus Morris denying him. The Lakers ended with 5 seconds left in the shot clock and everyone else just standing around. So Lin drove, found no opening and just had to throw something up to beat the clock.

Kobe did make his share of "hero shots" but you can't consistently live on those and hope to be efficient consistently.

The bigger issue is still defense. Those guys gave up 110+ points and way too many easy transition layups, open corner 3s and all these shots you don't want to give up. They made some good defensive plays but the bad outweighed the good.
