Wow Embid, his clearly more skilled then Kat and Davis. If healthy he's the best big man in the league hands down.

Too bad Warriors have the league on lock for the next couple of years. So many great storylines in the NBA but they'll be overshadowed at the end of the day.

Joel is the closest thing to Hakeem, not even close. I'm not saying HE IS HAKEEM or on that level, just that he's the closest thing to it.

He's also the most entertaining dude off the court in the NBA. Hope he stays healthy.

    Giannis, the Sixers, the Celtics...

East is finally looking like a respectable conference. Took about 20 years.

In a couple of years maybe. This year the east is still terrible. I do not see any of the teams in the east beating the Warriors, Rockets or spurs.

That being said atleast they have some talented players. And I really love the 76ers. If they stay healthy they can be amazing.

Embiid :cool:!!! Wow that footwork, the passing, the post moves. Not Hakeem Olajuwon yet, but very similar those more out of control and rushed. Stay Healthy!!

Really hope Embiid stays healthy, could be one of the most dominant players ever.

Can big men be dominant in this age?

The Pels have 2 of the best big men in the game, they drop like 28 & 12 night in & night out yet they still suck.

Embiid is the real deal, but if the Sixers want to win in to todays league, Simmons & Fultz need to pan out. (Simmons looks like he’s going to be a monster)

I mean, you can say this about any superstar. "He's the real deal, but if Giannis wants to win in today's league, he needs more help."

I mean, he has a face-up game and every sign that he'll shoot 3s as well as Giannis, so he's not really even old school dump it into the post. He's made the adjustment to be effective anywhere on the court, without needing illegal defense rules of yesteryear to keep double-teams off him. You can't effectively double team a center who faces up at 18' out, and can pass to the cutters going under that double team, much less deny them the ball when they can start that far out.

And note: this new league stuff is supposed to have the most trouble against teams with big rim protectors who allow the perimeter defense to stay at home, and allow no-D shooters like Redick stay on the court. He's Gobert with superstar offense.

    29%? I'd leave him open.

    I'm comparing him to Giannis.

And Embiid shot 36.7% last year on qualifying volume. You can tell on his stroke that he will become someone that will keep you honest...certainly as much as DMo ever did.

and, fwiw, after his dreadful 0-10 start in the first 2 games, he is back to shooting 36% like last year.
