Nick Young might be my new favorite player to watch. Watching him is simply high comedy. He's basically JR Smith only much worse on both offense and defense, which is hilarious.
Initial observations: - Chris Paul is way too good. We all knew that though. - The Redick move is paying dividends immediately. Amazing shooter with high basketball IQ - I'm not too sure about the Dudley move. I don't think he's a starter. - Blake is really good. He rolls to the basket really well and his footwork has improved. He needs to take a page out of the Olajuwon playbook and face up more. When Gasol is guarding him, he should realize that his back to the basket game is not going to pay any dividends. His jumper is still mechanical and the timing looks off so I think he needs to devote an entire off season to fixing his broken form. - DeAndre is super active. Not sure if he can maintain it throughout the year and into the playoffs, but his play so far has been impressive. - Their defense is still not where it needs to be. - Overall, the Clips are not as good as advertised yet. Maybe a bit more time with Doc will fix that. - The Lakers are better than I thought. Might just capture that 7-8 seed
