That’s definitely what Carlisle is hinting at. That it’s like testing the white boy if he can hang with the black guys sort of speak. I’m not buying it though. Also Harden is playing through it so suck it up. And with regards to Draymond Green getting tossed, where was that during their champion days? Funny how officiating changes when teams no longer matter.
I think that this is a myth. I would like to see to proof of Luka, Dirk, and Lin taking more cheap shots than other players before I could entertain something like this. I don't recall seeing any of those players taking any more abuse than players of color. If you want to see a player get beat up with no calls pull up old videos of Shaq. And he wasn't even light skinned. Carlisle is trying to get more calls for his star player which he should. He wants Luka to get the perceived "Harden treatment". But the whole race thing is way off base imo.
Kevin Love Admits Being Frustrated During Saturday Game Kevin Love admitted being frustrated during the Cleveland Cavaliers' 121-106 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, though later denied having any problems with his teammates. Love showed his frustration with Collin Sexton during a sequence late in the second quarter. "We were making a playcall. We were in the bonus, and Chris Paul was on me, so I felt swing it to me and try to throw it in the post, see if they double-team and get a good shot out of that. That's not what we did, and yeah, I was frustrated," said Love. Love posted a photo on Instagram saying that he loved his teammates. The Athletic reported that Love directed a verbal outburst towards Koby Altman earlier in the day. John Beilein took blame for the playcall, though added that Love's reaction was unwarranted. "If I do it, if anyone does it, it really doesn't make you a better player or a better coach at that time. It's like carrying a suitcase around with you, that you have extra baggage. We don't need to do that."
