OKC vs Golden State about to start. I'm sure the Rockets will get some more hate during the telecast. Meanwhile, GS will probably get plenty of love if they win despite OKC playing a 2nd game of a b2b
I'm willing to bet the Thunder show up tonight, despite it being a back to back. We'll see. An often-used excuse for the Rockets: schedule and injuries. As if no other team suffers from this.
Kendall Marshall already looks like an upgrade to any of our current PGs on the roster. Just hit the go ahead three against BOS
Other teams face these challenges. And they often lose when injuries hit and when schedules gets difficult. OKC, for example, played great in the 2nd half vs. the Rockets last night, but they were still 4-5 in their last 9 games.
This POR-SAS game. Wow, just wow--Matthews, Aldridge, Manu. They're just lights out. Watching all our HOU games make me forget what great basketball can look like. That POR offense is automatic. Passes are given so quickly and shots are taken so split-second as well. When did they become so automatic? Meanwhile the Rockets are regressing. Last night was like a death somehow. Death of an illusion that we could someday contend.
Portland is pretty fun to watch with them sharing the ball. They may not have the most talented team, but they have unselfish team oriented players. I also enjoy watching Indiana play. But OKC and Miami are hard to watch for me...just a lot of 1on1 give to your best player and let him get double/triple teamed then pass it out to the open player.

Yep Rockets are trashed by the media at the moment. The discrepency of the halves is being chalked up to Thunder's masterful defense intensity in the 2nd half. Their defense was probably the major reason but their has been no mention of the Rockets being on a 2nd night of a back to back, 4 games in 5 night. In the Knicks game against the Clippers tonight they brought up the Knicks players being on a tired legs since they played last night when the Clippers started pulling away.
Clippers looking like the best team in the NBA, all without their MVP-caliber PG. This is the year boys!
The difference a competent coach makes. Hopefully Morey realizes McHale is another Vinny Del Negro holding his team back.
