yea if that trade happened the Lakers would've had CP3 and possibly Dwight, which would mean chips for the Lakers
Matthews and Thompson aren't shot creators. They both get the majority of their points coming off screens or a teammate setting them up with an assist. Give them the ball to create and most of the time they won't be successful. Frankly, Thompson and Matthews are identical players with near identical stats. Thompson gives more love by value of being a Splash Bro and playing for the media darling, GSW. But, IMO, neither should be in the discussion for "Best SG", because neither can create for themselves or others. Butler can at least create enough for himself to get to the line at an elite level. Kobe, even at his age, still has the ability to create shots for himself and make them. But Harden is head and shoulders above them all. Rockets bias aside, he does everything for this team on offense that it's becoming unfathomable. Alone, he drives this Rockets offense and team, no other player is doing that.
